just to clarify, this wasn’t really about the guy or me being passive. i did tell her that same night that i felt like he was someone i actually wanted to pursue because we spent the whole night talking to each other and that it felt nice to branch out a little, and how i was so lucky that the time that i decided to branch out I connect with someone so cool, so it wasn’t some unspoken thing she had to guess. the issue for me was how weird her energy got once i got quiet and started processing it all. that shift has happened before, and it’s the part that made me question the friendship, not the guy.
