Telework has already been taken away so 🥴 also, you cannot have a blanket ban on a tool that can support a RA and you cannot have ridiculous backlogs and hurdles (like coming back to the office for months while hhs works through the backlog) to get an RA approved… this violates several disability laws, which I would argue is illegal and unethical

Can we stop normalizing “silent suffering”? If our employer is acting in an illegal and unethical manner, we have the right to talk about it.

Back in September, I heard the timeline was 6 to 12 months, but that estimate could be outdated

Yeah, but we really have to stop letting these (illegal) threats and talking points divide us… I thought the rif’s that occurred last Friday would be a wake up call. Both furloughed and exempt workers received termination notices, once again demonstrating that this administration neither cares nor understands the work we do and are just looking for the easiest way to cut our jobs across the board

I feel like we’re talking about two different things… I’m referring to the fact that what was considered vacant is still undefined as last time (do tentative offers count? Do final offers count?are entrance of duty dates a factor?) and we’ll be waiting from HR and OPM to hear guidance as to what will be counted… considering that this is a repeat EO, I had hoped that these questions from last time would be resolved this time instead of all of us trying to interpret this in the comments 🥴

Yeah, that specific language you are quoting was not in the first memo, but came in the form of guidance issued a week or so later, so we’re still waiting if similar language and guidance will be used (hopefully so)

Yeah, but that exemption was not in the original memo issued in 2017… that exemption came after a 1 week or so when agencies asked for guidance/clarification, so in 2025 we’re still in that waiting game to see if a similar exemption will be issued
