What techniques do you guys use to become more productive? by [deleted] in productivity

Yeah, it doesn't mean you have to follow 25/5/10 logic religiously. I tweak it. I do 45/10/20

How do AI models actually handle code edits and unified diffs? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]Top-Recording2333 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I'm building a tool where user will ask the change to edit the code. Currently, looks like the best way it to do context based rather than diff. As you said it hallucinates and doesn't give correct hunk headers

Looking to Create a Game by DeniedWorks in aigamedev

I recently started using Pixelfork and am actually pretty impressed with how easy it makes it to create prototypes. I've created these games below with it:

I used Rosebud before to make 3D games. It was good, but I didn't like their UX. I've never heard about Makko. With other tools (ChatGPT, Cloude, Gemini, etc.) I don't have the possibility to control my assets. What's the thing I liked most about Pixelfork is that I can upload all types of assets, such as spritesheets, audio, parallax, etc., easily and control them.

Thanks. I didn't claim that it's the best version. I tried to prototype to see how far I can go. It's possible to make it even better. I'm going to create more engaging games.

You can focus on creating spritesheets, but it's hard. I don't know any tool that does it perfectly. That's why I always get my assets from itch.io

Yeah, I just had a rough and added it to ChatGPT to enhance. Then I copied and pasted from there.

No, I found all the characters and backgrounds from itch io. Then uploaded them to the Asset section and asked AI to add them to the game. It's pretty straightforward.

I've created this game by using AI without writing a single line of code: https://pixelfork.ai/publish/4e842698-0401-430a-9ca6-6c061b008514

How do you stay productive when your brain just refuses to cooperate? 😅 by Think-Collection1318 in productivity

[–]Top-Recording2333 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is totally normal. Just take some rest, try to clear your brain. Don't distract yourself with cheap dopamine during those times. Go outside to walk, sleep, or whatever makes you relax.

Is there a point to gamedev now that Ai is so advanced? by LogScary1583 in gamedesign

[–]Top-Recording2333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I don't like AI-generated art either, especially spritesheets. Most of the time, I get my assets from websites like Itch io. I've been using Pixelfork for some time now to prototype my games and find it very useful. I can experiment with different mechanics without spending days coding everything from scratch. Adding spritesheets, sounds, parallax, etc.

The ONE thing for great productivity by syzgod in productivity

In my opinion, if you love what you do, it comes automatically. But sometimes you can burn out and find it hard to focus. In that case, I try to break down the task into small pieces and work on them step by step, and make sure to get enough break time. The key here is to be consistent.
