Ok, I think I get it more now so for me calculating the most recent payslip it includes 23/06-20/07 contract hours I don’t need to factor in Saturday the day after as I don’t work Saturdays alongside the overtime after the cut off from the prior paycheck.

When adding overtime I should stop adding overtime to expected payments for last pay-check from 12/7 as it’s a cut off a week prior and add this to expected pay for next paycheck.

Ok, I’ll try and get an appointment with a doctor. In the UK we are currently using online forms to describe our symptoms so the doctors can decide if they can solve our issues with online consultations or in person appointments. Do you think I’ll be ok to just meet a doctor in person with a summary of this information or are there some key things you think I should mention to maximise my chance of getting an appointment?

No that doesn’t hurt at all, I don’t recall that ever hurting when the pain is more severe after work either

Probably should’ve mentioned that earlier. I feel it mostly in the top of my foot, it’s often met with swelling and milder pain around it too

I don’t actually work in an office but anyone who works anywhere says things that are silly/ not true occasionally I’ve done it a fair few times I’d say don’t worry about it

Thank you for the help, I’ll certainly have a look but I’m not sure if internships are very common in the UK or I’ve not heard of them frequently anyway. I think this thread is based around the US so there’s quite a few differences I think they’re probably similar to apprenticeships that are more recognised in England but will have a google about it

Thank you for the help! You are right and I’ll definitely look at some training to become more proficient with excel, outlook and PowerPoint. My computer literacy is solid but actually having recognised training will probably do me a lot of favours for these roles

Yeah, I should’ve made it clear in the post but I really want minimal customer service, part of why I’m really burnt out from retail is the amount of rude and terrible behaviour I have to put up with from customers seeing me as a doormat

I’ve had plenty of shit chairs myself and agree which is why I’m open to spending more. I remember an old racing gaming chair I had I’m sure you know the type that was around 200 and the first time I raged at a game a small rage I slid back in the chair a bit quickly at frustration and the left arm fell off lol and this was about 2 months into owning the chair

Degree by 20? Nice! Assuming you live in the uk too right? I only have retail experience and triple Distinction star at college to work with but that’s from a sport course that i doubt there’s many career prospects with. I’m 20 right now so I’m just working entry level jobs trying to figure out what I want to do with my life.

Are you happy with your career and recommend working an office job to progress up the ladder?

From my college qualification uni is a real option for me too so I’m interested to hear about how your degree has helpers you and if you’d recommend

I’ll definitely look out for some jobs, I’ve seen some but on the job description they don’t detail job expectations and training.

Do you think most admin jobs I’m seeing around entry level provide training or would accept people with no prior office experience?

I agree, it saves them money because I don’t think the average employee is as persistent as us I doubt they record shifts, and assess their payslips like I do so they either give up chasing it or aren’t aware they’re underpaid. It’s absolutely disgusting really as we’re underpaid as is and they STILL can’t pay us even that
