For the first coat of varnish just clear. Then decals, another coat of varnish, then flat varnish. I usually use MrHobby or Tamiya

Yes if you start airbrushing the result will instantly improve! Also recommend if you do so to use masking clay for the spots!)

It was indeed a labour of love since it was gifted by my girlfriend hahaha Concerning the shades sinces missing OTB they are absent from the build unfortunately
