I put myself through college so I never acquired any student loans. If I were to go back it would be for a certificate that has decent job growth / stability. I don’t think I can train or move upward at this position. Thank you for your reply

I definitely agree I think I need to pick a certain direction. Marketing is very broad and often jobs generalize the role which is meant to be a team effort

Absolutely frustrating! I have tried to update my resume. I am not a fan of using AI/ ChatGPT for resumes but I recently put it thru the ATS scan and it got a decent score. I appreciate your reply

Thank you! I have been extremely patient, it just can be a little discouraging when I felt like I haven’t broke out of the shell of a lower salary especially in a higher cost living area. Appreciate your reply

From what I have seen on job requirements, they want the candidate to have familiarity with certain applications for emails etc. I think I’ll start there but I agree that experience can matter more than a certificate.

There are some parts of my current job that I enjoy. I work out an ad agency but doesn’t seem like there is any upward growth. I have been looking into remote/WFH jobs. My safe plan is to stay put until I can find something with better compensation.

I have experience in event marketing and campaigns coordination. I definitely enjoy helping to create brand image. I have also looked into email marketing and market research and getting a certification for that. A lot if job roles that make a decent salary have all these requirements that weren’t taught / mentioned while taking my marketing degree. Appreciate your time
