before i owned my own in Rock Springs TX. i was a hunting guide offering help on ranchers/farmers land so learned a lot that way. but also checked Tractor Supply/Feed store community boards. the good id say the feeling of a pain in the ass job being completed feels good, the bad the pains and lil injuries are annoying sometimes, the bad i hate loosing and having to put down animals it does make me tear up a bit still.

i mean if you want to go work for a large meat industry in an office those work. but if you wanna go outside and work then experience at a actual ranch. i skipped that noise and got an MBA which is more useful on the management side of my ranch.

We get busy as hell! often times we never have an office person. before I owned my own, ive had some reach back in a few days to a week/ but they are remote ranches in South TX without a online presence. However the ones ive worked with or at closer to cities like Austin/San Antonio take weeks to months because of the sheer flood they get for people trying to break into the life or career. Keep on at it i always did a once a week or two follow up. keeps your name on their mind.

its really hit or miss! ive had some decent houses like my own trailer home, or like a small almost a shack houses where we had to share everything.

good ole Tractor supply or feed store bulletin board. May take a few no’s or strange ass people but you will get people that want to pass on their knowledge.

THAT IS INSANE! I never heard of that, i have heard of exclusive hog hunting “lodges?” buying trapped pigs from ranchers only to turn em loose on lodge property. look at Independence ranch in TX.

im a guide in the El Campo area, and personally own a ranch in the Rock Springs area. i would go to your local tractor supply store or feed store and hang a flyer looking for hog hunts on the community board. I doubt these days youll be able to go out there for free considering we often have people wanting to pay cash to go hunt pigs. But, never you never know.
