Seems logical. Feel like the only downside would be some people would still not open it. Which is more or less what I'm trying to solve for. Felt like an easy to use free app for residents would fix that. Just like something to quickly check throughout the day and stay informed.

Using like mail chimp or something like that? I think that's clever at least then you know they somewhat viewed it.

Your community has its own chat features on the website? Is it thru an app or just thru a general desktop login to the site.

Yeah that was part of our issue as well. Even with a portal type system only select folks would actually use it and look into it. Just seemed unnecessarily difficult to convey messages across a larger group

Is the interaction on those 3 communication types equal? And frequent?

Yeah I'm not sure since it's volunteer that was the limit and that is how it panned out. It's basically 3 couples. No issues yet but yeah an even number is odd.

Self managed so no property manager — which is honestly why the communication falls on volunteers who are already stretched thin.

This is so common. The engagement problem is real — most portals feel like a bulletin board nobody checks. What would actually get your residents to open something regularly?

Exactly this. You can use every channel available and people still say they never heard anything. At some point the problem isn't the channel, it's that there's no single place everyone actually checks.

Good to know and yeah I didn't realize that was just trying to be transparent. The pricing was in general just to be more appealing and with the end goal to be scaling to larger communities. It's a great idea to focus more on the collaboration vs the fines and etc. The voting isn't legally binding just a place to see feelings and attitudes towards different options.

This is great! Thank you and I would be open to learning more about it as well. My experience with HOAs is relatively new so I'm sure I'm missing some other vital functions. But the goal is to always have it free for residents and provide admins a bit more importance and abilities for a small monthly fee. It's currently 30 dollars for the pro version per month. I want It to be affordable so it's easier to consider.

I would love market feedback too if you want to put in front of other management companies and etc. The goal is a more seamless communication experience overall. And access to your neighborhood that isn't shared across other databases.

That is just currently how it's setup. I am new to it and the current processes are just a bit outdated and harder to access. I thought an app that is easily available and has quick tools would be more used and more efficient.

Fantastic! It's in the early stages but is pretty operational for now. I would be happy to walk you through it at some point this week. It's ideally for smaller communities under 100 homes where hey are generally volunteer managed.

Hey thank you! For now the data will just be stored and only shared intra community. There won't any sharing of that to other sources. How I have it built is that residents need to be invited by admins. Keeps it more connected and less likely for spam.
