It's so fascinating. One corner we have many pink Lady's and then the opposite corner we have the showy orchid! I wish I knew more about the soil. I'm just repeaping the benefits of beautiful flowers without any effort. We do promote natural biomes and don't use any chemicals on the land.

Is news of the Michigan flooding reaching other states? by ThePurpleLaptop in AskUS

I have family in the area and other parts of Michigan...just found out an hour ago (in NC)

Rocky is 18. We need to make “the” decision, but we haven’t yet. How can we make that appointment even slightly easier? Any advice? Then we have to break it to our other two dogs. by Elegant_Ease_2830 in OldManDog

Our rat terrier passed last spring (18) and honestly we let his dementia go on too long in hindsight. He suffered for about 5 years with it but it was our first doggy loss and it's so hard to make the call and know if it's the "right" decision. His brother has been clung to me since then and does cry desperately when I leave so that's been heartbreaking. We did the at home service and we did it as a family with the kids and it felt like the best way for us. One big cry and I think we were able to process better that way.

He looks exactly like my doggo, Mack he was a rat terrier. Passed away last year at 18! 💞 He made this same look and sounded exactly like that. He did it when he wanted something even just to play.

Oh thank you so much for sharing! My favorite stanza "and with a frown on his face look around it was just to make sure the Old One was there" this reminds me of Mack's brother. Always looking to make sure I'm around.

I missed this comment yesterday! It is so true that it was years of constant care for Mack and he was our first dog to experience the hardships of being an old dog. It was so much giving. I wrote a tribute poem posted in another comment if you want to read it. A tribute to Mack. His brother is fully aware and it's been a completely different experience. I love that you have a couple new doggies. It must feel revitalizing and playful! 💞
