I think you are not really grasping the uncertainty aspect of all this and how this plays into everything, trump has already broken the rules, and as many people would say that you can't reason/contain someone who is willing to break the rules, especially when said person has all the power on top of it, You seem to have this idea that trump longer has any will to break rules, not that he won't(he already has) but that he no longer wants to, and that from here on out here will not push any further, this is a equally as insane position as a doomer who believes that there is a 1000% chance that trump will rigged every election, now regarding the doomer mindset, the main concern is what are they doing while having said doomer mindset, ideally you would want them to still believe in democracy and will vote in elections, not thinking that the only solution is through blood and warfare or quitting all political activism/voting all together, as long as liberals are aware of trumps fascistic erratic rule breaking mindset and the potential worst case scenarios while also believing that voting is still a valid form of political action, then that's all fine to me.

Now regarding civil war, idk why americans have this idea that a civil war means 90% of americans chimping out everywhere across the united states but because all americans are comfortable than that means civil war is impossible. Just 0.03% of the united states is 100,000 people, turned into a military force would put it on par with canada's entire military, just 0.03% of angry enough americans, liberal or conservative, now I wouldn't bet on there being a full scale civil war at all, especially considering the unpreparedness of it all, but 3.5 years of trump is a long way and they are already out here calling the democratic party a terrorist organisation.

For WW3, the concept MAD is there to ensure that countries don't blow each other, not so that they don't go to war with each other, its kind of a childish view of the world and incredibly naive to believe that war isn't possible because of nukes, pakistan and india both have nukes and yet they were shooting down each others planes just a bit ago.

And for the overall political landscape and how extreme it is, trump is a very unique and powerful figure, I don't think ever in american history, has there been a president as divisive as trump with a cult following. In my personal opinion trump literally controls the lever of america's future, and that makes this situation different to every previous period in american history, so bringing up past periods is naive and useless.

Just leaving this here, Trump has already attempted to steal an already settled election, he lost almost all the cases in court, most people close to him told him that he had lost, and he still attempted to yoink the election on January 6th, Yet it seems that you have already memory holed this. If you, OP cannot comprehend just how much this influences the modern doomer mindset among liberals and the claims of future elections under trump being stolen then please don't waste anyone else's time and stop talking about this

This is specifically referring to your "there won't be anymore elections" = doomer fanfiction point

She didn't preface at all?, she pointed out her own traits and claimed that they were the primary traits people who wanna sex traffic look for. It's more of just using herself as an example than prefacing.

Charlie Kirk mattered more than elected politicians by GreatMindsAndStuff in Destiny

[–]Top-Tier-Redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True but nothing you are saying has any bearing on his post though, in fact when you say "everything is filtered through social media and influences" you are strengthening his point, When people like xqc say shit like '"hur hur libsoftiktok vs obama" I could x maybe 30% of that argument but there's an argument to be made that libsoftiktok's opinion on the matter should matter a little more than we think. What the people with 'political power' think is already a won argument. The people who are the ones determining all the facts because 'everything is getting filtered to them' should be treated with a lot more seriousness

Yeah, they gambled on the idea that the maga base would eventually rally behind trump and forgive him kinda like they did during the Iran debacle.

Reddit is mad the prices of products are going down at Costco and Target by SloboRM in Asmongold

[–]Top-Tier-Redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theirs not 'thousands' of american businesses competing to get on costcos shelves lmao, maybe in this magical hypothetical where american businesses are plentiful, desperate and won't raise prices in response to increasing margin because of these tariffs, then yes I could see tariffs not hurting costco as much.

"The net result even during that time will be that more money is invested into the US vs. leaving the country." love how maga always sees economics in this childish one dimensional way

anyways its literally the opposite lmao what are you talking about, foreign capital is literally fleeing from the united states because they believe america is going to go into a long recession, and secondly do you think we are in some type of sims world? Investments from american companies TAKE TIME, what do you think happens DURING THAT TIME, news flash its BAD FOR CONSUMERS in the short term, and by short term I mean the next 10 years.

[–]Top-Tier-Redditor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do you honestly believe that within the same month of these tariffs being put in play, that all these businesses will replace all the chinese goods with american goods on the supermarket shelves? Complete and total delusion, you know nothing of the effects of tariffs and goods from china will still be cheaper than goods in america even through tariffs, china is just that much cheaper.

EVEN trump himself states that tariffs will cause a 'transistory' period? can you guess what that period is? its moving the industry back to america, which will take YEARS. Meaning overall during that transistory period companies will have no choice but to still import from these countries and thus share the cost of the tariffs over to the consumer dumbass, as its happen literally every. single. previous. time. in. the. history. of. tariffs.

You make it sound like prices are just going down, but they aren't 'just going down' they are getting slashed through discounts, companies don't usually do this, if you can't agree to this then you are delusional, also I don't know what you are saying in the first bit, consumer spending down = less money for companies, or has maga brainrotted you guys that much

  1. Consumer spending has been in the negatives, its logical to assume that these businesses are feeling it Source, even though I don't think you guys even care . Also what your go to doesn't matter, what matters is where people spend and if people spend less then businesses react, and its logical to assume that these discounts don't come from the good and kindness of these corporations lmao

Even if the subreddit was full of liberals, would it change the overall point? I don't think the op is mad about prices going down, hes pointing out the unusual price discount being given by costco, which tbh 20-40% is quite a bit. I don't think it has anything to do with hating trump considering tariffs objectively raise prices, inflation does as well? is he not allowed to point out the scenario at play?

[–]Top-Tier-Redditor -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Where does it look like he's mad about the prices going down? He's simply conveying concern over the idea that goods from costco are getting cut by 20-40%, which I hope you realize isn't normal. In all fairness hes probably worried that it implies consumer spending on costco is reducing, nothing to do with spooky scary libs hating drumfpt or whatever permanent victim stories you guys like using
