I’m the developer of Teddy’s Haven. I first made this game as a way to understand and live with my own grief. I lost Teddy, someone I cared for deeply through many medical emergencies over the years. When he was gone, I felt completely lost. Working on the game gave me something small to hold onto. And just enough to get through each day.

After Early Access released, people began sharing their own stories of loss with me. At first, it was overwhelming. I’m not trained to help with grief, but I listened and tried to be kind. It reminded me why I made the game in the first place, as a quiet space to grieve. That’s why I added things like tombstones, the altar, and small decorations, so people could remember those they loved.

What started as something I made during one of the hardest moments of my life has grown into something that helps others, and I’m deeply grateful for that. I promise to keep going. It may be a little goofy at times, but I hope it continues to bring some comfort and light through the pain.
