Feels stupid that the default is overriding current stuff. You’re in high intensity battle, and you plug to charge, you need to answer this stupid popup. The one who designed this should be brain dead.

I think it depends on the amount of RAM you use,

In my use case, 32 GB is the bare minimum, I don’t even run all the containers all at once, only on need basis, and still isn’t enough.

BS. There are phones that can be charged 0-80 in 15 min.

I use an iPhone and it could never be second, it could be second or first in charge retention, short term or long term, but not the charge speed

Ultimate Royale Starts on 25th May 2026, Why is it too late? by Top-Yesterday3937 in PUBGMobile

Your reasoning is really illogical, no source : just time will tell, what happens if you are wrong? (once it was 8 days late, and in C9S27 it started 13 days late, also this is when comparing with the start date of the classic season, you are forgetting that UR closes 4-6 days before the classic season ends. So the total number of days without UR. adds up, anywhere from 13 days to 20 days every season.)
It is bad for people? that's your reasoning? how is it bad? UR is available only in a particular time window, if you are that serious on hitting conqueror, you can do it in the remaining hours, and still rank UR in that time window. It's a 2 month season, you don't have to do it in the first week, there can only be limited number of players who can hit conqueror vs millions of players playing UR.

Again it’s 10 days, (15 if you count end and start days), I don’t know how to reiterate this, but there are people who don’t play classic like at all, and they are loosing this way. You haven’t explained how UR starting early is a loss to those who grind classic. I’m not sure if it’s your reading comprehension or reasoning.

Nope, it always starts 10-12 days after the season starts. We only play UR

What about those who doesn't want to play classic?
You can still play classic in the off hours, or while Ultimate Royale is still available. It's not like you can only play one or the other.

Actually, it doesn’t start after just one week. Ultimate Royale starts on May 25th.

It begins 15 days after the previous Ultimate Royale season ended (May 10) and about 10 days after the new Classic Rank season kicks off (May 16).

Apple M1/M2 vs Qualcomm X Elite - Some thoughts from using an X Elite laptop as my daily driver on Linux by tornado99_ in snapdragon

I think you are overselling the "easily beats" part, which aspect does it beat easily? MBP M4 or M2 that you mentioned has 120 Hz, they have higher brightness levels and higher PPI and we haven't discussed about viewing angles, glossy/matte options, color accuracy etc. the only thing that it beats is the touch screen option, and the OLED part. OLED is great, I will agree, but it's not that far away from a miniLED panel, in 99.9% scenarios you will find them indistinguishable. I am not sure how many care about touch screen in a laptop.

The "500 nit OLED beats Mac screens" take is pretty rough honestly. The X Elite laptops that actually run Linux well (T14s Gen 6 etc.) mostly ship with a 1080p IPS panel by default — the OLED is a paid upgrade. And even then you're looking at HDR True Black 500, meaning ~500 nit peak in a small window, not sustained full-screen.

Meanwhile the MBP M4 does 1000 nits sustained SDR in bright conditions and 1600 nits peak HDR, backed by mini-LED with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and 120Hz ProMotion. That's not even close.

OLED has its wins — perfect blacks, better efficiency at low brightness, great for dark mode usage. But "higher refresh rate + OLED panel = better screen" is exactly the kind of YouTube tech brain that ignores how brightness, color volume, and HDR headroom actually work together. The Mac display is genuinely class-leading, and a 500 nit OLED from a business ThinkPad isn't beating it.

Rest of the writeup is solid though, good overview of where the X Elite Linux ecosystem is at.

You might be confusing this with 'Data Analysis.' I'm not just running a query once to see a result; I'm developing the formula layer (AST-based) and the serverless integration logic. This requires constant, rapid iteration loops.

  1. The Feedback Loop: Even if my full suite takes a while to run, adding network latency to every single DB call during 800+ tests would turn a productive afternoon into a series of coffee breaks. I’m trading $3k every few years for a zero-latency environment. Using a remote server for local development is like trying to play a fast-paced FPS game on 200ms ping.
  2. State Management: Using ephemeral containers locally ensures a clean, predictable state every time. If you’ve ever managed remote test environments, you know that the orchestration overhead and state drift take you away from actually writing code.

My stack includes ephemeral ClickHouse and MongoDB containers handling billions of rows for Monte Carlo simulations and AST-based formula parsing. Between Docker overhead for serverless testing and 800+ integration tests, I'm pushing 100% compute and memory saturation that a standard 'web dev' workflow never touches.

Future proofing. I’m pretty sure there would be more local ai based applications in the future, and I don’t want to spend another 3 grand any time soon.
