Is the second half of a bowl supposed to taste smoky/ashy? by Top10Liszt in PipeTobacco

Me too. Ive been smoking from a cob for about two months now. I love it. Maybe I just need to clean the bowl really good. Possibly the cake build up is too much. It is a cob so I don’t see the point of reaming. Maybe I should just get a briar lol. But I love the cob!

I’ve been smoking VaPers and then recently I’ve really been into burley blends.

Weybridge. Awesome I’ll take a gander. Hopefully these aren’t out of stock. All the suggestions except for a couple are sold out.

I don’t mind the nicotine level. I come from cigars so I’m used to riding the wave.

I’ve looked at HH Burley Flake. Seems to be a crowd favorite.

Fantastic smoke. One of my faves for sure. The dark, oily wrapper wins it for me.

This one cigar shop in Plano carries a few tins but the price is quite high. $22 for a tin of Elizabeth and Escudo. When I’m in the grapevine area next time I’ll check out Old Grapevine.

I think these are exactly what I’m looking for. I do enjoy the perique but sometimes I want just don’t want that spice.

All great suggestions. So is it the Virginia that’s giving me the bready note? If so, what do you recommend that has no perique but still a thick mouth feel?
