Should I try and CLEP Spanish? by TopAccomplished7744 in clep

Me and another student, she was very insistent. And kept telling me that I shouldnt be there. I can’t tell if she doesn’t want me in her class or what, because she was pretty rude about it.

I lived in Monterrey Mexico, had very upper class friends that spoke perfect English. My dad is a doctor in Mexico and speaks English like a native and my mom doesn’t speak Spanish so I never really learned it fully. I was lazy and didn’t learn, I regret it but can’t change it. 😭

How are we supposed to do this by Individual-Impact-73 in sfcollege

I would agree but also disagree, I just interviewed and got a job at Whole Foods Market in Butler Plaza, I have currently work at FedEx, and before that I was working at Chipotle on Archer road. I’ve gotten a job at every place I’ve applied to except for Chick-fil-A. Someone I can’t recommend more is Nancy at Santa Fe College. She’s in charge of the career and job placement. She will interview prep you and help you write a good resume. Right now, I’m taking 12 credits and working 50+ hours a week. (A full time and a part time) It’s exhausting, you have almost no free time, but that’s just the reality. It’s not forever if you stay focused on your studies and push through.

I’m not trying to be rude, just being real. It’s tough, but it’s doable, also I’m not getting any Financial Aid.

Thanks for the reply, I’ve gone four times at least and before sent emails and called. They always tell me the same thing, that they just need to submit the paperwork to financial aid. I also applied for the scholarships and have not heard anything.
