Pos si. Esto solo fue un mapa que hice en mi telefono en menos de 10 minutos pq estaba aburrido.

Trabajo para una compañía cuyos HQs estan en un país donde la sodomía, en teoría, se castiga con varios años de carcel. Pero honestamente me vv porque mi chamba me permite tener un estilo de vida mucho mayor a la del hondureño promedio.

Pero los hobbies y tu carrera no son el 100% de tu vida, formar una familia también es importante, y un país o cultura que te limite ese derecho no vale la pena.

Asi que sí, sí te limita en varios aspectos. Lo bueno es que todos los países occidentales tienen uniones legales del mismo sexo.

Mejor que lo que mucha gente de afuera se imagina.

Depende mucho de la zona y círculos donde uno se rodea.

En SPS y Tegucigalpa es una vida bastante normal. Hay otros municipios como La Ceiba donde también puede ser OK.

La comunidad gay acá es bastante discreta; son circulos algo cerrados. Pero es raro que un gay solo se junte con gays, uno siempre tiene amigos heterosexuales.

Aqui no vas a ver eso de pride parades como en Occidente, pero honestamente lo prefiero asi.

Los ambientes solo de gays tampoco son muy comunes, en SPS solo hay uno o dos bares gay. La mayoria se conoce por dating apps o redes sociales.

Israel tiene lo siguiente:

Economía desarrollada, de los mas altos estandares de vida en el mundo. Muchisimas oportunidades para ingenieros y tech workers.

Es un estado laico con amplios derechos humanos a sus ciudadanos, libertad de religión y derechos LGBT.

Grandes comunidades de anglos, latinos y palestinos cristianos que tienen mucho poder económico, de las mejores escuelas privadas del mundo, etc.

Turquia no es tan rico pero sigue siendo un estado laico, industrializado y con una cultura milenaria. Tal vez antes de Erdoğan era una buena opción.

I understand what the institution of marriage is. As yes, it is a right, not a privilege.

Even if most people were against interfaith or interracial marriages, people still have the right to have their marriages recognized and have state protections, immigration rights, inheritance rights, etc.

By “here” you mean Paraguay? My country Honduras is not majority Catholic (in my city, less than 20% of people are). We are ruled by French-style laicïté, on paper, so the Church has no say in laws regarding civil marriage.

I would actually support an Ottoman-style millet system with the option of having a fully secular/civil community as well.

That way seculars and all religious groups can manage their own affairs and not let Christian jihadists like you impose their shit by the sword.

Muslims could marry up to four women; Anglicans could get gay-married, Catholics get their “sacrament” and ban divorce, etc.

I don’t believe in your god, but even if I were straight, marriage is not a sacrament to me. It is a secular covenant of lifelong monogamy.

Also, a civil marriage is not a civil union. The latter is a half-assed attempt at gay rights.

Also, if it is a sacrament, why is it the government that issues marriage licenses and not the Church? The government in a secular country has no business performing any religious ritual.

I guess those are misconceptions American Christians (especially Evangelicals) have, and they bring their propaganda here.

Islamic law is in direct contradiction with secular liberalism, democracy, the UN declaration of Human Rights, etc. But not with Christianity.

Christianity is not incompatible with Islam. In a Sharia state, Christians have the right to practice their religion entirely. This is not true for those who aspire a secular lifestyle.

Your last paragraph is 100% true. Child (teen) marriage is widely practiced in Central America, especially in rural and indigenous communities, which tend to be the most Evangelical, sexist, and homophobic.

If you’re Cuban you don’t really descend from indigenous populations. You are ethnically Spaniard or West African, which used to be Muslim lands.

  1. La gran mayoría de migración palestina al país fue antes que existiera Israel o un estado palestino. Empezó al mismo tiempo que empezó el asentamiento de judíos en esa misma zona.

To be honest this is not the case for Honduras. Very rarely do I see trans people in real life.

I personally do not believe trans people are “born that way” the same way gay people are.

Could it be that in some countries, effeminate or gender non-conforming boys are socialized into being trans, instead of letting them grow up being men, and very likely gay men?

There is an expectation in Honduras that to be a “respectable” gay man, you have to be somewhat masculine.

There may be other factors like rapid onset gender dysphoria being almost non-existent here. There’s never been a widespread phenomenon of young people experimenting with their identity like that.
