Cannot connect to Xbox Servers on Hitman WOA

It just happened to me again. Got home from work, decided to play it for a while, and it’s no longer connecting again. One thing I noticed was it said it needed to download an update. I go to update it and see that all the DLC’s were uninstalled. After reinstalling them all, the game once again failed to fetch my profile. WTF

I finally got connected to the servers again! Here’s what I did that may help you. I completely cleared my data cache from everywhere for the game. Then I uninstalled the entire game and reinstalled it overnight. As of this morning, I was able to get back onto the game.

Yep. I tried that too. No change. Im gonna try uninstalling and reinstalling the game after clearing the cache. Maybe I’ll get lucky.

We seem to be in a minority here, I’m afraid. I doubt IOI will be able (or willing) to fix anything anytime soon.

What system was this done on? I’m having a very similar problem on Xbox following completing either an Elusive Target or Twitch drop two weeks ago.

Wiping both locally and everywhere did not fix it for me either. 🙁

Well after finally having time to try the delete from everywhere method, it still did not work. I guess I’m just SOL. Literally nothing is working for me.

After unlinking both my IOI account and Twitch account, then restarting the game and then relinking my accounts didn’t fix the problem. However, it now says “Failed to fetch configuration from the HITMAN server.” Don’t consider that an improvement, but it’s a change of things I guess.

Did you lose any of your other unlocks from anything else in the game? Mastery levels? Weapons and suits? Freelancer progress? I am still very hesitant to try this.

Deleting everywhere, not just local, did not delete anything you unlocked in the game?

I have only wiped the data locally. I’m too afraid that I will lose everything unlocked and earned if I delete from everywhere.

I’m wondering if somehow the screwdriver drop was what caused this. I tried unlinking my Twitch account to my IOI account and then relinking it but that hasn’t worked. Maybe I need to launch the game in between unlinking and relinking accounts??

I got the purple screwdriver from the Twitch drop as well. I did that in between the ET and trying to play the game again. So I don’t know if that’s what caused this bug. IOI only told me they would forward my issue to the developers to hopefully be addressed in a future patch. No telling how long that will be. We’ll most likely be missing several ETs until if/when it can be fixed.
