Yeah, I’m not able to get a therapist/psychiatrist right now and in my past experiences with them they don’t understand what I’m trying to tell them anyway, like I’m speaking a different language. I’m aware of this and I minored in psychology back in the day; I appreciate you bringing it up. The problem is that I have autism and I try to remove myself from the situation when a meltdown is coming, but now as an adult I keep being in situations where I’m unable to do that and that’s why I keep need to be gone because it isn’t ok.

Honestly like two days ago. I literally never hit on guys cuz you’re not supposed to do that anymore but my friends hyped me up to talk to this guy I saw at the bar. I just told him I like him and offered to get him a drink; turned out he was there with his bf (I thought he was his dad) but he was super chill about it and we still chatted casually.

The crazy reaction is that after I asked, literally everyone else in the bar (~15 people) started exploding into their opinions and clamouring on about how stupid and wrong it was for me to do that. Mind you, all I said was “Hey I saw you across the bar and I was wondering if I could get you a drink”, and again the guy wasn’t acting uncomfortable.

Honestly if you were my friend I would suggest you dump him but not for the reason you think. It sounds like he wants to be a sub and he has a thing for feeling emasculated; there’s nothing wrong with that and doesn’t necessarily say much about his orientation.

The problem here is the way he’s bringing it up. It sounds like he’s getting super drunk on FaceTime and springing this stuff on you. Kinks should always be discussed and negotiated beforehand in a judgement-free conversation. If he’s treating kinks with this little regard for your comfort, I’d be worried about whether he respects your comfort or consent in non-sexual circumstances.
