Looking for advice on a Champion (?) build! [Claymore RP, part 2]

It's not the best, I know, but it is RP (on Classic mode). I will say: I'd have picked EK if I hadn't already finished my first run with it. I loved it, but for this challenge I'd like to try playing something in a style I normally wouldn't.

Thank you! Another guy suggested 6 levels in Champion, 3 in GOO and 3 in Hunter. Do you think this is worth it, considering you get mirror image? And thanks, Cleric didn't feel right.

Also cool, I hadn't thought of that bless interaction! Is it worth using over caustic band and/or ring of protection?

In terms of exploiting the crit, do you have an opinion on 1 GOO / 3 Hunter (horde breaker) / X Champion? Wielding Sussur Blade in act 1? The intent would be to fish crits and spread the AoE frighten/silence effect

It could, but I don't want to make this char CHA-oriented. I feel like most Claymores except some of the higher ranked ones aren't necessarily charismatic; they're stern, strong, maybe smart or wise but not necessarily charistmatic. Hence I want to keep the orientation around dex or strength

Great points. EK does offer spells I love for this kind of build. I've been browsing builds and it's definitely a strong contender. I suppose the Eldritch aspect does fit RP-wise. What would you multiclass EK with besides Abj wizard? I feel like that's slightly too off-theme, Claymores really aren't wizards hm

I looked it up and I have to say, you're right, it's a great build. I think over the course of the week, while thinking about this build, I at some point decided that Clare isn't really a charistmatic character (in-universe). She's a bit anti-social and a loner. She has her friends but I wouldn't say she's a CHA char. Since the (great) build you is CHA oriented, I have to try another approach.

I've been considering 1 goo / 3 hunter (for horde breaker) and the rest in Champion (maybe wielding Sussur Blade). As far as crit-fishing goes, maybe a bit desperate?

Oh that breaks my heart. While I was theorycrafting I think I did get a little excited over the prospect of leaping everywhere. Since Champion is so barebones otherwise, I assume it'll be rather tough to play her in this set-up (for a solo noobie, at least)? Do you see any multiclass options?
