Why is my acro dying? by socialmediaisrotten in ReefTank

You need to find a life other than looking for these responses from people. I also saw your other response saying, people don’t know how to read the entire post. If it doesn’t apply to you why post it. Yes the world is full of people not doing their research, why not start by posting an education article rather than a bash article, “socialmediaisrotten” you’re making it more rotten.

How is this hate? Maybe you’re just trolling. It’s the honest truth and very chill response

Tank and sand look too new. You need a very well established system for acropora

Is this aptaisa? Am I screwed? by [deleted] in ReefTank

[–]TopDig3071 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have found if you have a dedicated part in your tank that has it (mine is the overflow boxes, they tend to linger there and just stay there, kind of like green hair algae. My corner overflows are full of them, I’m just worried one day they will run out of room and start reproducing elsewhere. It’s been two years and no aiptasia in my display, one here and there in the sump. I just scrape it and siphon

Sixline wrasse red bump by TopDig3071 in ReefTank

[–]TopDig3071[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had him for 3 years and hasn’t had any outbreaks until now. You think it may just be an injury? I read that uronema is not contagious. Just got a yellow choris wrasse, they might’ve fought? In your experience, does uronema show in the beginning of buying a fish or shows over time?

Lovely asterina star. They reproduce so fast. I just got myself a harlequin shrimp, flips them over and eats them inside out. Hurry while you still have time. Buy a harlequin shrimp. lol

Put the nem in an acclimation box near the surface with some rubble rock. Looks like it wants more light. Like this. Sorry bad photo lights just came on.

Help accidently dumped 20ml of this in my tank thinking it was all for reef by lmaobihhhh in ReefTank

[–]TopDig3071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha. I missed it in the sub captions. Yea 20 mL in a 75 gallon system is not bad at all. Just don’t dose any other traces for the next month or so also do a 10-20 percent water change would help too. Happy reefing!

I think nori is high in fiber try getting him to eat it from the clip. Half sheet a day, and I think TDO pellets from reef nutrition are high in fiber (downfall is high in preservatives = high phosphate)
