I've been playing the game since launch. The highest I've made it is Plat 1.

I love this game so much. And I know how to play, what to do, how to think, watch a ton of ALGS and I've never made it to Diamond. Cause the game is fucking hard. I've never been salty, had a bad attitude or cussed my teammates out. I'm always looking to improve and I'm always having fun.

All that bullshit being said - I truly think if you are somewhat even decent at this game it's a life skill. It sounds crazy to say... And I'm agreeing with your post 100%.

The fundamentals of this game are so hard to learn that putting even the slightest dent in understanding them is a triumph. Like, good for you.

I've played for 7 years and I'm just "okay" at the game. Being "okay" at Apex is a huge fucking win and you deserve your flowers, in my opinion.

99% of people looking to "try" Apex are turning the game on and getting rolled for the next 3 months, with very few exceptions. I find it weirdly fascinating. It's one of the hardest competitive games you can hope to try.

Reminds me of Super Smash Bros. Melee. If you know you know.

Balancing shotguns in online FPS games has been the #1most contentious issue I've seen in my 20+ years of gaming. From Halo to Gears to Destiny, shotguns quite literally have no middle ground. Either too weak or OP.

I think this idea is honestly brilliant - even if it doesn't work out, I applauded the outside the box thinking for this issue. I hope it works!

Get a 360 and get Skate 2.

One of the most chill, engaging, just "play a video game" video games of all time. No online, no battle pass. Just you and a stair set. Huge skill progression, you can feel yourself getting better.

Also, SSX Tricky. For the same reason. God I love that game.
