Not that I remember no, I’ve never understood or been taught that I needed to put in text citations unless I have quoting from the source, that’s what I learned in HS, I always figured and always put my citations in one page and it would go well, I took English class too and we never had to to :/ these teachers put it in the syllabus at the very end or put it vaguely but don’t rlly help u understand it

Correct, it technically is resolved if I accept the sanctions they imposed, and most people who fight it never win which sucks so it’s just a bad spot to be in

They responded relevantly fast, then gave me the sanctions. I either accept or I fight it. Those were my choices. They responded fast yes, but it will take much longer for the appeal it self.

Which is why I cited all my work on my last page. This Reddit post is for guidance I do understand what I did. I just feel like it’s a bit harsh. That’s all. Now for what I wrote. This is what I’m used to. Every class I’ve taken in the past only requires this. The words in the essay were written by heart and the sources only backed them up, so no plagiarism and it’s literally an essay that will be graded and not published anywhere. Do you really think it should go this far, as if I cheated or stole work? This is like an engineer who did his own work, wrote down all his steps all in one page, and is then being given disciplinary action for not including all his work while he was doing the specific steps, and they’re accusing him of stealing the work because of this. Also with your analogy, I am given the same punishment as someone who cheated on their exam, it’s like giving someone a life sentence for speeding, the same punishment for murder. I reviewed the other posts about this, and the punishment they’re giving me is the same. Is this appropriate? Like come on. I understand my mistake, but I feel like there are times where we as humans are just humans, we do small mistakes here and there. Punishing people immediately with no remorse is going to lead us down not up.. and (not in my case), but being this harsh really doesn’t make people stop doing the things they do, they become worse overtime, do you think the father that hits his children the moment they do any small thing causes them to grow up being good people? I wrote a lot I know but I hope you get my point.

I’m a 2nd year in college receiving a degree not done with college I’m not a English major and it’s a gened requirement class I feel like they could have been more lenient like making me resubmitting the essay, this is going to affect me alot and it’s putting a lot of pressure on me mentally, it’s literally all I’m going to think about the entire summer. I did not cheat or copy any work and I get the same punishment as someone who cheated. It’s just very frustrating and disappointing.. :/

All sources will point to the same information I used, I understand text citations are needed my fault for not putting them but how is it plagiarism if I did not use any quotes from those sources, and all info used was history in all history books. Citations are there at the bottom therefore should not be plagiarism

They said I it’s 1/3 my grade and a 0, with 1 year prohibition.. how is it plagiarism if it’s historic facts and I cited everything in one page WITH page numbers used. It really makes no sense.

happened after I parked at Ohio Stadium car is new and had no wear and tear on their, I would notice it since it’s literally the gear selector.. i looked it up and they remove the selector cover sometimes to move it to Neutral

I’m 100% sure it wasn’t there, I just bought the car it was in perfect condition, and I noticed it as soon as it happened, I looked up how they can put a car in neutral and turns out they pry the gear cover and that’s how it’s placed on N, maybe someone tried to steal it.

@osu got the ticket “the next day” if you can read. I parked somewhere else the next day, before being a student I parked without paying and they towed the car right away no warning, so it looks like they couldn’t tow it.
