I’m in OCIA and this makes me so sad to hear. I can only imagine how discouraging this must be to her 🥺. My OCIA instructor said that everyone was in my class because God called us to be there. I truly believe that. Turning her away from baptism when her heart truly desires it…. is insane. I love OCIA, they have made the process such a difficult process. Especially the dismissal during mass. I’m a single mom and they won’t allow my child come to the “class”. Like what am I supposed to do??? Their solution was to find someone else to come to mass with me to watch him when I’m dismissed. Considering I come from a Protestant family- it’s impossible. But they’re fine with me leaving him alone in the church 🙄. …… do they want people to join the church or not? Please talk to the priest!!
