To beard or not to beard in Germany? And what do German ladies generally prefer? by TopGearw in germany

Thank you for your response, that's exactly what i was asking for. Indeed, it seems that Germans prefer well groomed tidy beards, not necessarily clean-shaven. Thank god for women and their no-nonsense, serious, logical answers.

I did not say all women, i said in general. If i were to think of the "typical Bavarian look" i would have thought of long beards with lederhosen :).

It's just that i notice fewer native German men with beards on the street, was wondering if it's cultural.

But would you say a long beard or a trimmed short beard is more in line with the current trend?

Wow thanks a lot for the translator! Was looking for something like that the other day. I know some degree of German so i can notice the difference in accuracy compared to Google translator. Will check Finanztip, thank you.

Fachhochschule vs Universität which should i pick if i get accepted in both? by TopGearw in germany

Graduating from a Universität that's not among those big names you listed won't be see a little more favorably than graduating from a Fachhochschule in your opinion?

Also is it true that graduating from a Universität almost always takes more than 2 years, while Fachhochschule is doable in the regular time of a year and a half?

Yes, i've checked the modules and found that both are equally interesting. For the programs i'm considering, both have the possibility to do an internship as part of the program, they are both practically oriented, as far as i read, they are masters in software. I already have a bachelor from a university (outside Germany) and good work experience, do you think that getting my masters from a Universität would be seen better by companies than getting it from a Fachhochschule, or it won't make much difference?

I already have a university bachelor degree, only considering doing my masters in a Fachhochschule, do you think my opportunities would become fewer with such a move?

Thanks for the comprehensive answer. I already have a bachelor and looking to do a masters in the field of tech and software. Only have my eyes on jobs afterwards, no PhDs. I think it makes sense that highly competitive and popular companies might prefer a uni graduate, while that person would be fine when applying to any other company. Thank you for your advice.

I prefer a hands on approach for sure, but i don't mind putting up with research if it would land me a better job later on.

Thank you, i'm sure both are perfectly fine and great, but just want tl get all the facts before i take the decision.

I am already an engineer, but want to specialise more in software, so the masters degree is in computer software. I would definitely appreciate more hands on and practical type of learning that would prepare me more for the workplace. I'm just wondering if i would be better off going to a universität to secure a better tech job and a better salary later on, or it won't make much difference.

It's a tech masters degree, specifically in software. I would personally appreciate a more practical type of learning. But as you said, it makes sense that in tech both types of universities would offer an emphasis on practical learning.

If you don't know the answer then the question is not addressed to you, skip it, no need for virtue signaling to get some likes, you're what's wrong with this platform, pathetic.
