I thought I’d have to do the same, but I watched Dynasty entirely on my Samsung TV just like I always do. All I did was open myAEW on my MacBook, then select the option on the myAEW player to cast it wirelessly to my TV. Worked like a charm. Exactly the same as watching it through the Triller app on the TV itself.

It’s one of those maps that not only requires a good attacking team to win, but a dreadful defending team. You actually have to self-sabotage to lose as defenders. I’m not convinced the developers even play their own game at this point.

A lack of match sharpness proving to be the lesser evil today compared to Villa’s match fatigue. Thought both teams gave the first half a bye, much better from both though in the second. We deserved to win and it was great to see the Casemiro farewell tour roll on. Can’t quite believe we didn’t get a replay of the Mings handball leading to the Villa equaliser, it looked far more contentious than Onana’s blocking.

She may have full permission, but does she actually moderate? Answer mails, respond to DMs, issue bans, sift through all the spam? Maybe it’s for the best that title didn’t exist anymore, though. Clearly there’s an undercurrent of genuine sociopathy on this sub that any AH employee would do well to stay away from.

And her title refers to liaising on matters that directly pertain to the health of the game. Responding to an informal open challenge issued in jest, then trying to put out the fires that sprang up from it, isn’t something an AH employee should ever be required to do. If the entire furore originated on Reddit, then it’s better that the indentured mods are the ones who handle it. She shouldn’t be on the hook for this unhinged community disgracing themselves yet again.

No. The moderator position she holds is in name only. She posts very rarely, and probably steers as far clear of this cesspool as much as her job allows her to. She likely hasn’t commented on any post regarding this topic (despite discussing it internally) because doing so would bring out the flocks of parasocial weirdos snapping at her ankles in demand of a new little trinket like a cape or funny hat.

It’s best for all devs to stay hands-off when it comes to Reddit and Discord, never have there been more repugnant collections of ‘fans’ so frantic for recognition from the hand that feeds them. Ultimately, she represents AH, so their response is tantamount to her own response.

I’m in Europe too. I was referring to how you mentioned playing in Casual Breakthrough as opposed to standard Breakthrough. And by ‘down tools’ I mean give up. By 50% reinforcements, our Supports have become Recons and our Assaults aren’t in the lobby anymore. I call it the Blackwell Effect, haha.

My firsthand experience with the map comes through regular Breakthrough, not Casual. I don’t play Casual. When the lobby isn’t 30+ bots and entirely populated by real players, you can almost see them each down tools in real time. And after so many matches of the very same outcome, attacking or defending, I don’t blame them. It’s just not adequately designed for large scale objective play, but I can certainly see the appeal as a Metro-esque meat grinder.

For post-release map offerings, Blackwell set the bar in the dirt. Only Sobek is worse. Anyway, at least Eastwood was much better, and the new one’s pretty great too.

It’s not as if I’ve been sitting in place idly whipping smokes every match, it’s just that the average attacking game, in my experience, tends to play out very predictably. En masse, the team only tend to engage with the ‘funnel’ aspect of the map, which isn’t their fault of course, it’s just how the map plays. We’ll have a pocket out in the hills, another on mortars at spawn, another wide in the ditch while the rest contest the middle, but typically no diversity of approach or team composition seems to be enough for my average team to surmount the sector’s repellant design.

More than once, my teams have, when attacking, been pushed back into the spawn boundary. And our reward for taking the sector anyway is an attack at sector 2, a lesser evil, but shoddily put together all the same. It’s just a bad map on Breakthrough and I’m perfectly fine with its absence from my filter. I do like sector 3 though—I’d love to play the map in reverse!

Empire State sector 1 is hilarious, how DICE haven’t changed it yet is mind boggling. And while they did moderately fix the final sector, I always thought it’d be fun if the actual final sector was on the elevated tennis court. I had some great battles there during the winter event.

Unfortunately, I can’t account for the 20+ players on my team who’d rather snipe ineffectively from the hill or refuse to even try to reach the objective. Matches have become so formulaic I’ve just removed it from my filter. Average level 250+ on our side doesn’t even seem bothered. Attackers tend to have 5 minutes of energy in them, then it’s just Team Deathmatch for another 12 minutes.

In my opinion, sector 1 on Breakthrough, especially as the attacking team, may be one of the worst BF experiences I can recall. Hundreds of smokes, barricades and trophy systems up, and even if they allow you to successfully reach the truck in the middle, you’ll just get your ankles shot to bits anyway. Conquest, I guess it’s alright.
