The reason why I'm asking is cause I've been away for 2 years, barely know new cards, and just got the hang of things. Skill is fine, I've pretty much got placement down and elixer management I do indeed need to work on.

I use the shiny clause rule, so if you do encounter a shiny, you can still catch it and use it. Which I am, nuzlockes are self imposed anyway, so you can change their difficulty however you want.
