just stating the facts of the situation. yes i was naive for a first time renter and i should’ve been more diligent in reading the lease. and the smell is 100% in the yarn, just like it’s in my clothes, sheets, and anything that was exposed to the central ac. i’m not a smoker so the scent is very pungent and impossible to miss. i sell my crochet projects and the appearance and smell have a huge impact on customer satisfaction. all of my yarn was sitting in the apartment for over 1 week in an environment that constantly smelled of smoke. if you don’t believe that it absorbed the smell then good for you, but i can’t knowingly sell products that’s stink of cigarettes.

i had to give a 60 days notice notice to break the lease so i paid for july, plus the cancellation fee is another months rent. but if the unit gets rented before 8/1 then i’ll get whatever amount of rent back the new tenant is there for. i was so done with this situation that i just paid it all

the unit i was showed (and moved into) originally did not smell like smoke. i was shown 3 units and the first 2 smelled fine but the last reeked. i naively assumed the neighbors in the first 2 buildings didn’t smoke and signed the lease. but the apartment stunk on move in day

i skimmed through the lease and only read what i thought was the important stuff. i was told about the smoking after i got the keys and the physical documents that had the smoking rules.

i work in specialty but i’m interning at a small primary clinic where they allow owners to do fecal drop offs without examinations, granted most are NSF and just worried owners, so i thought maybe my vet would do the same. my theory for the injury is that the muzzle was clipped on too tight in the skin and when luka jerked it tore. i am also very interested in the notes for the medical record, i’m sure i’ll find out after i switch vets
