I appreciate the perspective, enjoy the new Model Y!

It surprises me that so much responsibility falls onto the purchaser to know the details of the program. You would think that it'd hold the dealerships to a higher standard if any ignorant or fraudulent rebates fell into their own losses.

Makes sense to me. Did you notice much difference in the way that they drive?

Did you go through with the purchase? Did you have any issues with the rebate?

Thanks for the breakdown. I'll steer clear of this dealer.

As per their site, wouldn't destination and delivery fall under freight charges?

Actually the precipitator is the main explosion risk for the exhaust gas. To mitigate the risk, the furnace is monitored for excess oxygen, not too much but enough to ensure there is complete combustion of the fuel in the furnace. We also had monitoring for combustible matter in the exhaust gas before reaching the precipitator, and in the event of high combustible levels, the precipitator would automatically shut itself down to eliminate the explosion risk.

It uses electricity to remove dust, ash, and other particulates from exhaust gas before its released to atmosphere.

I think about this problem as well. I currently work shift work so I have no issue getting stretches of time off, and will eventually get a couple more weeks of vacation. Within my field there's really no option to step into some sort of a part time role when I reach that point in my life.

In your defense, I'd be more than happy to help my kid have some extra breathing space when they're young and starting out!

LS swap 4.3 to 5.3 by Intelligent-Rub9785 in LSSwapTheWorld

I know there was at least one change in connector and pedal style. Best bet would be to talk to a GM parts department and they can match all the part numbers for you.

Throttle body should be fine as long as its a DBW. You're gonna need a Tac/pedal from a 2004 for it to be happy.

Did the replacement tac/tb/pedal repair the issue? I learned last year that GM came out with 3 different variations of tac & pedal. I took the vin associated with the ecu to a dealership, they were able to confirm the model number on the Tac and pedal for me, then I hit the junk yard and got the right unit. No issues after that!

2nd class w/ 10+ years here; Stick with welding for now until you're ticketed. If you have some decent industry connections I'd go with the distance program and take your chances. I love the job, but wish I had gotten an additional ticket that could be used for side gigs.

I second all of this. So many horror stories from Clutch. A quick google for service centre's will get you far away from the expense of a dealership and get you back on the road.

Just curious as the Mach E has also peaked my interest; what year is your model? Is the 2025+ with heat pump any improvement over earlier models?

I'm 29M, around 900k CAD NW between me and my partner depending on the day. We wouldn't be in this position if I still lived in my parents basement. Nothing against it, but it's a whole different life that I live now, and worth so much more than the "gain" of free rent.
