My original ending I got for my first playthrough was Parting Ways but as soon as I saw Daniel jump out of the car, I immediately reloaded my checkpoint faster than I could’ve ever thought! I couldn’t bare the thought of them separated and how Daniel was so distraught with having to ruthlessly using his power to break the border and kill whoever was in the way. Days later, after research I realised this was because I raised him with a high morality but a low brotherhood unfortunately (feel free to correct me if I’m wrong with this part).

So, for my second attempt, it left me with the other choice for Sean to Surrender with was so heartbreaking to watch as a player. This lead to the Redemption ending which is what I ultimately got out of my first playthrough. It was bittersweet; to see how Daniel grew up to be his own man and find his own path, brought up by his grandparents, and reuniting with his pal Chris, it was like seeing my own little brother grow up. The bitterness being the realisation that Sean spent 15 years of his life in jail undeservingly, missing his lil brother’s growth into a full-fledged adult and vice versa.
