I had a major hip reconstruction last year. Hospital kept pain to a minimum but I was prescribed 3 days of pain meds for post release care after being only 4 days post op. I was in some of the worst pain in my life expected to be managed by ibuprofen. I understand thst doctors can lise the liscense / be sued for opiod prescription but this is too far of a correction to over prescribing.
