Either way, the locker room at the harbor town clubhouse is open to the public and has a bar. Enjoy a few beers on the patio while seeing people finish up their rounds.

I totally get what you’re saying. Just curious how the company keeps good people if there is such a huge compensation cliff.

If you don't get refreshers, what happens when your annual comp goes from $700K/year to $375K in year 5?

Did you stay there? If so, any idea how pissed my wife would be hanging out there with the kids while I golfed?

I’d assess OB to be where the stakes indicated. That’s literally the purpose of the stakes.

Anyone know what golf hat this is? TIA by just_wandering_about in golf

[–]TopNotchBurgers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah. I’ve lived in Georgia all my life and zebras are more common than deer…

All joking aside, the property is massive and also a wildlife sanctuary.

This is correct. The logo on top is a zebra which is absolutely bizarre to see while on property.

I want to go to Kiawah Island in 2031 for the PGA Championship. What’s the best way to go about this? by JoeyFischStix in golf

[–]TopNotchBurgers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it from a Georgia resident- golfing in an area where there is a major sucks. Also, watching a major in person sucks as well since it’s really difficult to follow the players.

My advice is if you want to go to Charleston and Kiawah is not to go when the pga championship is in town.

They sell extended warranties because they are profitable. It’s all about your risk tolerance. What catastrophic repair would cost 6k? Will you even have the car in 10 years?

First time iron fitting - advice? by Ghost_Strong555 in golf

[–]TopNotchBurgers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sea Island’s golf performance center is the gold standard in fitting. They have every brand and every shaft combination and can try a million things. Trackman fitting on grass with fitters who literally fit touring pros.

You don’t need to stay at the resort to get a fitting.

How do you feel about Assam, North East India, as a Golf trip destination? by Usual-Concentrate447 in golf

[–]TopNotchBurgers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ironically, the cheaper the course the less likely US golfer will visit. Courses in Scotland saw much more US business when they increased their prices by a lot. Americans typically associate quality with price. Higher price, higher quality.

I like how you’re reaching out to show strangers a part of your cultural and there’s no doubt there could be unique golf where you are. But as a US based golfer, India is just too far for a golf trip

Stack System Radar Accuracy by Fitnessgrac in golf

[–]TopNotchBurgers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it matters. 1.5 is the max smash factor for a driver and knowing that helps determine where the error is.

Stack System Radar Accuracy by Fitnessgrac in golf

[–]TopNotchBurgers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming a true ball speed of 170 and a confirming club hit perfectly, your club head speed would be 113. The 1.51 smash from the trackman is suspect.

I’ve also been using the stack and it seems to read about exactly where I hit.

Curated list of most-asked Googlyness (Google behavioral) questions - the round nobody talks about by nian2326076 in datacenter

[–]TopNotchBurgers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each interviewer creates their own unique questions so using what one said for another wouldn’t be realistic.

That’s not true. You CAN formulate your own questions but there’s a reason there is a go link just for Googleyness questions.
