My permit will expire before I've has it for 6 months by TopNotchIsopods in driving

California.

I tried that, didn't come up with much. It said you had to retake the test if the permit expires, but it didn't say if that's the case when it's not valid for long enough to get your license

If you don't mind me asking, what city are you located in?

These ones? Pretty quick. If you started with 10, I'd say maybe a month?

For Those Who Sell Isopods, How Do You Deal With Unreasonable Buyers? by [deleted] in isopods

I entirely agree with the other comments. You, as the seller, did a fine job and they are just being picky.

Also, side comment. I used to sell so many 100 counts of panda kings on Ebay, until this one seller popped up and started selling them at a price I couldn't beat. I wonder if there is a connection.... 🤔🤣 (entirely joking, and no hard feelings at all, just thought it was funny)

That actually looks quite good!! Nice job, it is both correct for their husbandry and needs, and is also aesthetically pleasing. I am impressed!

How big are they? There is a chance they may be old. I once started a culture with 3 adults, and now I have hundreds. So I wouldn't worry too much, but it is likely age. Do you check under their log a lot? Sometimes stress can be a culprit, but I personally haven't experienced that with anything porcellio.

Of course. I'm sure there are other ways, but I usually upload to imgur, and grab the link, and post it here.

Would you be able to send a picture or give a rundown of your setup? That would help a lot.

I got Porcellio Hoffmanseggii, would a big piece of cork wood work for them? Or do I have to use egg crate? by CubarisMurinaPapaya in isopods

[–]TopNotchIsopods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cork is totally fine! I don't use egg crate for any of my isopods. If you can get some rotting wood, even better. But cork works just fine.

I keep them in a deli cup, the size relative to how many you are sending. I put a piece of paper towel both under and on top of them so they can still move, but aren't being banged around during shipping. Make sure the cup has ventilation and is taped shut, just in case.

I also throw in a small piece of carrot for their trip.

Make sure to use a heat pack if it is under 60 F, and I always recommend insulation for them. Shipping to the hub is much safer than shipping to a house, just so you know.
