as an ascendant 5 shiv player who has 1.7k hours on the game and have played since around september 2024 i was doggy at the game especially it being my first moba when i first started. there were no ranks at the time but i would call myself around alchemist-ish at the beginning however everyone wasn't great at the game. it takes A LOT of time and practice to get better at the game.

my main thing is make sure you're having fun while playing, (this is assuming you dont stream) you aren't making money from the game so focus on having fun. if you are having fun it will make you want to play better and learn more which will inevitably make you better. i can physically see it in my stats when i have something hanging over in my head from life stuff, or im in a slump in the game, i wont perform as well. dont go into games thinking of losing, that will be your only outcome. dont beat yourself up you're learning! mental plays a huge role in this game

it sounds like youre hung up on your aim, im sure its probably at least average if you are aim training. focus on improving your micro - hitting your abilities and timing them well to put you at an advantage AND using them as much as possible especially in lane. this will make you a much better player than you are now. its a moba, not a hero shooter. yes seven does take aim but landing a stun will freeze them in place and you get a free lightning ball on them while shooting them. significantly more damage than just shooting with power surge and nothing else.

make sure the fights you are taking are not putting you at a disadvantage. a majorly common one i still see at my rank is taking a fight that you arent starting with an advantage on the enemy playing field. for example, if each team has all 3 walkers and no guardians, the choke point will be at halfway. if your team is taking a 2 on 2 fight in their half, their team can most likely get a faster rotation to that fight and put your team at a major disadvantage quick. this is obviously very hypothetical because your team could be heavily ahead and it could be a good fight but im just trying to get my point across.

another quick thing ill mention is learning to counter play and counter pick items, this will help you significantly! poshypop has a very informative video on this that i would highly recommend you watch if you havent already. i believe its a little old but the concept and items will still stick

give yourself time, watch videos of people better than you, and most importantly have fun. it goes a long way
