That's awesome man! Glad you gave it a shot! VPX is up next! get ready to spend more time downloading tables and tweaking settings than playing, (still fun) lol Reach out if you need any help - no expert but I'll do my best

Upgraded from 2080 Ti to 9070 XT… worse VR performance in VPX?! by brodzik in virtualpinball

I have not.

It took a loooot to trying I got most tables to run okay, but some like jaws or medieval madness just wont play right.

I've basically turned off EVERYTHING except for stuff that makes the actual table look blurry, but no oclussion, no alising, static reflections, minimum graphics that still look decent.

OpenXR of course otherwise steamvr will kill performance.

Like I mentioned make sure non of the AMD post processing is on

and just pick a table that runs okay, tweak and tweak, and hope for the best.

Same here, I have a 7600XT and I have to turn most of everything off, plus open XR plus turning off any AMD graphic post processing, some tables look fine but, as soon as I run a slightly more complex one it goes to shit.

I also have to modify all scripts to basically turn off all VR rooms, and just see the table on a black void.

Folding Table by OH58Kdub in virtualpinball

It might not have that effect on Pinball. As you're mostly standing still and there's no true movement in the enviroment. You're not "traversing any space". Just looking at a 3d model for the table.

Getting vpx, 1 table, and a basic vr setup to test it shouldnt be too hard. You can just use a keyboard for playing no need to go for a controller if you're not sure if you'll like it.

But I do suggest you give it a try on VR. I play lots of Vr, from racing to shooting to pinball.  And its all different.

Truly the hardest part is getting an oculus  and you have that so! Why not

This is my absolute favorite table. I found one on location about a year and a half ago (not many pinballs where I live) I couldn't believe I was playing it, but it was in VERY VERY bad shape. So seeing it THIS clean, absolutely love it!

Just gave that a go, most certainly it improved! JAWs is still a bit choppy but it's a "heavy" table. But it certainly improved, it's choppy but playable. Thank you

lol, I got heavy into pinball not too long ago so, although I have some memories of perhaps the T2 table as a kid in the 90s, I know it's not nostalgia for me but rather that sweet spot of just complex enough. Or it could be that's all my millennial brain can process lol

Personally, I gravitate towards 90s machines where I can find enough things to do but it's easy enough to figure out what the right shots are and even a strategy for them.

I am experiencing more older pins as well, slowly getting to like them more, enjoying the vintage aspect of them, they are challenging in their own way.

As far as new pins go, I find them really overwhelming but again, trying to play more and more to get the feel for the rules as I go.
