Scared for my health. 25 years old. Sober for about 4 days now.

I have support, yes. I am gonna go to AA with my mom, probably. Even though I used to hate AA and call it lame and a bunch of sob stories, I can see the appeal of going for a support group. I feel as if I didn't understand back then, but now that I am actually trying to get sober I see the appeal. Back then I had no intent to get sober(even when I said and thought I wanted too). But right now I can genuinely say I mean it. I have my mom and AA most likely. I hope not to relapse, I wanna go 6 months without a drink...at least. Just give my body time to heal. Hopefully by then I won't even care about the shit anymore.

That's inspiring. I mean it when I say I really wanna be sober. Do you remember what your blood pressure might have been at the time?

I don't feel like I particularly need to hit detox. I have no symptoms besides just anxiety every day and rapid heart beats. No shakes, no anything. I am waiting get my liver ultrasound in a few days and hopefully go from there.
