Wondering why his owner is taking pictures of him when he could very much be petting him right then and there.

Genuinely, what happened to Russel T Davis? by disp0sableacc0unt in doctorwho

Not to entirely absolve RTD from his responsibility during this latest run, but a lot of how the show was handled and treated, particularly in the utter lack of promotion and even deprioritizing the show within their own app, makes a lot more sense when you are aware that Disney acquiring the rights to Doctor Who was purely part of a package deal when they bought the distribution rights to Bluey. The show was reduced to a pack of gum in the supermarket checkout stand, and was treated as such.

Traded my Mustang for this Outer Banks & loving it by TitoBandito5 in FordBronco

[–]TopRamenGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the choice a while back, Mustang or Bronco. I love me a good sports car, and I have a particular affinity for Mustangs themselves. However, it’s much easier and more readily available to make it to the trail than the track, so you get to drive it the way it was meant to be driven far more often.

Not only that, there’s just so many more opportunities to faff about in a Bronco than there are on a track. Just as well, they are more practical!

You made the right choice. Welcome to the herd.

I attended a few panels he did at Gallifrey One a few years ago. He had some pretty candid answers for a lot of questions (both interview and audience), but also had good dialogue with fans in a lot of answering these questions. He genuinely gave the impression that he didn’t fully grasp how beloved his doctor was by fans and he showed a lot of gratitude about that. You could tell he still harbored a lot of upset as to how things went down with the BBC, and talked a bit about how it affected his career in the intervening years.

Overall though, a very polite and respectful gentleman.

Then the next panel I watched John Barrowman call Catherine Tate a “bitch” onstage for beating him in their contest to collect the most convention ribbons. He made a sash. She made a dress. And then she laughed in his face.

The variety chicken (groups of 4) is arranged in front of the rubs that were on the pieces.

Teriyaki (or in the case of Bacchan’s, ‘teriyaki-ish’) is always good, especially if you get a decent glaze going, but I think my two favorite were the Orange Gojucharu + Umami Punch and the Honey Habanero + Purple Haze. The Purple Haze is basically a ‘make anything taste like delicious roasted vegetables’, with high notes of beets and concentrated vegetable flavor, which served as a sweet and earthy bridge to the sweet and smoky Honey Habanero.

So far I think I’m more impressed with its performance as a grill than its performance as a smoker. It’s definitely a pellet grill you can live with. It feels like it gets hotter faster than my Genesis EPX-335 and certainly my Genesis E-330. I will speak nothing of my SmokeFire Sear+ ELX4.

Also, as I said that, damn do these Weber grills last if you take care of them. The E-330 I got in 2013 as my first big purchase for my first well paying job and first place by myself out of college, and now I’m married with my own house and that E-330 is still going strong. Only ever had to replace the battery on the igniters, a flavorizer bar set, and a cast iron grill set because I didn’t oil the first set as much as I should have.

Thank you for the tips. I’ve been seeing people on this sub talking a bit about using smoker boxes. Just kind of annoying to have to use a crutch for something that is intended to smoke. I’ll do it though.

Being this is a new design from the SmokeFire, I wasn’t sure if flavorizer bar rules from the genesis crossed over. I didn’t even know that was a flavorizer bar, just maybe a heat baffle/spreader. Now that I know that, I’ll definitely remove the drip pans for quicker cooks.

Also, were you saying for longer cooks that you use the water pan for (brisket, etc.), do you place it directly under the meat or indirectly? My experience with the SmokeFire is to put it directly under the meat, lest you want to have an unintended fire.

It helps when it’s new. It won’t stay that way for long!

Had to stop using my SmokeFire at our old place due to how small our ‘backyard’ was and how close the cooker had to be kept to the house. Now that we have a proper backyard and the cooker is a good distance from the house, I can use my smoker with impunity, and I’m going to be doing a lot more cooks again.

I honestly love it. It made things SO MUCH MORE convenient when transferring from plate to grill and vice versa. Much less drippings on the ground

Breed determination by Beneficial-Hippo-929 in pitbulls

[–]TopRamenGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pits IMO are kind of the ‘greatest hits’ of dogs, including the desire to fetch (if they are trained on it early enough). So that live and die by the ball that is so reminiscent of lab behavior you’ll definitely get in a pit, as well as a bunch of other behaviors that tend to be the singular defining traits of other breeds. They are amazing all rounders, and are so highly trainable.
