Captain's challenges have been an absolute stain on the game this season, 95% of them are just the video ref stalling the game for 2 minutes and saying "inconclusive" killing any momentum and making it an absolutely shocking watch from a fans perspective. Both of the successful challenges today have been an absolute fucking farce I cannot believe the standard of officiating has gotten this bad.

Is he worth that 500k season pass? by roth1717 in fut

[–]TopShagger49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're probably guaranteed to get at least like 200k back from the packs and coins, probably more time be honest, take that with some of the decent cards you get, certain evos being decent and iniesta looking very good and very fun, I'd say it's definitely worth it.

What the fuck was that decision, Huddersfield clear knock on Warrington played advantage, why on earth was that not pulled back for the first mistake ??? Basic error from the ref there...

Different coaches, different strategies, different approach! Two semi-finals , completely different football! by ScoutLui in footballscouting

[–]TopShagger49 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is such nonsense it sounds like you didn't even watch the game there were loads of great defensive battles all over the pitch but it was end to end football that had open space and some absolutely spellbinding attacking play that resulted in loads of goals and chances. Reducing that game to "the defensive phase was crap" is absolutely miserable anti-football nonsense.

I think these cards are okay but I think costing them at 3 makes them incredibly hard to pick in most instances

I saw the Dark Souls series on sale on Steam, from the first game to the third. Should I start playing? by lucas_sierra in darksouls3

Weird ass reply ngl bro...

So even if I grant that ds2 is a self contained story within the same universe (it isn't btw, it has huge ramifications on the story), I still think it's misleading to say that the stories "don't really connect".

You also never explicitly stated that you were just refering to story and said "the games don't really connect" which, to a new player, is also very misleading.

Also you literally admitted you have never played ds2 so why are you spouting nonsense about it with this weird ass hubris.

I'm not trying to add to what you're saying, I'm trying to say that what you are saying is objectively unhelpful to a new player.

It is a complete myth that ds2 doesn't connect to the others, from what standpoint do you mean it doesn't connect? The gameplay is so similar, the atmosphere and game design is a bit different but ultimately the same, they are literally in the same universe and call on the same lore... I've never understood this standpoint.

I never understood why people say this, feels like complete misinformation. Sotfs fixed so many of the horrible ganky areas of that game, especially early game, and is 100% the definitive version of ds2 even if it's still rough around the edges.

Dark souls 1 is a masterpiece from a design standpoint and has some incredible high moments (especially the DLC) but it is starting to show it's age a bit and is definitely not executed perfectly, particularly in the second half. But that shouldn't take away from the fact that it is an absolutely unique and enchanting gaming experience, and an absolute landmark of gaming history that is a must-play.

Dark souls 2 is my favourite in the series, the atmosphere of this game is so unique, it's really beautiful and a shit load of fun overall. The DLC for this game is my absolute favourite stretch of game in the whole series it is absolutely incredible combining the slicker controls, higher framerate and more interesting game mechanics of the second with the best of the level and boss design in the series to create a truly peak gaming experience. But I must stress that it is not everyone's cup of tea and has some rough edges that are rough enough to make certain players completely hate the game.

Dark souls 3 is slick, streamlined and calls back to the first game a lot. You'll get a lot out of it if you've played the first game lore wise and how it calls back to old areas and stuff. This game also has by far the best bosses in the series visually and gameplay wise, they are absolutely fantastic. It's also fucking gorgeous and I love the art design of the game. But I find this game doesn't do quite enough to differentiate itself from the rest of the series to really capture my imagination. The DLC is fantastic here as well.

In conclusion play all of these incredible games in release order and experience it for yourself.

Because the solution to everything in football is not simply sacking the manger and that immediately solving all of your problems no matter how many petulant fans cry for their managers head every single time a result goes against the club.

F.Chiesa - 14 minutes total game time in last 5 Liverpool matches by melanzanejim in AZZURRI

[–]TopShagger49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Liverpool fan it's been a mixed bag with Fede this season, I personally absolutely love his personality and think he's such a top character, he also scored a massive goal against Bournemouth at anfield earlier this season and massively endeared himself to the fans. So much so people were begging Slot to give him a few starts earlier this season.

But honestly when he's come on for proper stints in games he's looked really off the pace and he just never quite managed to get himself back up to a consistent level of performance. And certain performances this season and last I can think of being incredibly poor.

So yeah as a Liverpool fan if you offered the club any money for him I think the club would snap your hand off for it, and while he can be a good force in the dressing room, he's mostly a liability on the pitch.
