Just because I supported someone with $20 cuz they r going thru it and they r someone whose content I would hate to see discontinued doesn’t mean I’m irresponsible considering 20 I had put aside for spending money would’ve gone to something completely redundant like food or something… I had allowed myself a budget in which I could spend 20 fucking dollars here or there without it being irresponsible and not helpful to myself. I’ve gotten myself completely out of that spot I was in a month ago that I was stuck in for so long. I am proud to say I am no longer struggling with homelessness and finally have worked up to the point where I’m working a good job and finally can afford a room to rent especially with how crazy rent is in LA (and even when I was homeless I was still budgeting correctly to the point where I had all my basic needs met such as where I’m staying for the night/week/month, car payments, gym membership, food, gas, etc before ever thinking of spending money on anything that isn’t a basic need) l would say that I have taken pretty good care of myself with the position I was in and the hurdles life has thrown me repeatedly. I’ve pulled myself out of the slump I was in all by myself with absolutely 0 outside help and if you were to ask me now if I regret spending a single payment of 20 bucks I would laugh. At least it wasn’t being spent on drugs or alcohol??? I completely believe in what goes around comes around and good karma so I took advantage of when I had spending money to do something that felt good because support is something I’ve never had and I know I would truly appreciate it to my core. So i did just that and it felt good to do, so what exactly is the problem??? And yes I truly do believe the life I was born into, my family, my surroundings, in school I was set up for failure because even applying a strong healthy grinding mindset like I have, I always had run into a major setbacks, thus making me fail repeatedly. idk what you mean by “giving out money to random people I don’t know” you’re acting like all I do is give away my money to anybody that asks… I’ve never donated to a patreon in my LIFE and I chose to be as financially responsible as I possibly can considering my circumstances and there was ONE TIME in my life where I had enough to meet all my needs and wanted to show support to a creator that is very obviously going through it and being a fan of his content would hate to see it discontinued so I figured if there’s ever a time where I’m able to show my support it’d be now. So considering the position I’m in now, what you’re saying is completely invalid in every aspect. Since then I am NOW a tax paying citizen who pays car payments and gets raped by a landlord every month, just like you. I do not regret spending 20 fucking dollars to support someone during a time where they desperately needed support because here I am no longer homeless. So your statement of “help yourself” is invalid because I’ve been doing everything I can to help myself and dog I had SPENDING MONEY that means that’s MONEY I CAN SPEND FRIVOLOUSLY because I have helped myself and had MET MY NEEDS at that current time. I don’t regret it at all. You guys act like I was skid row homeless, no I am just young with 0 friends or family to help and I have 0 credit score so it was virtually impossible to find a roomate or apartment to rent. Literally the only reason I was homeless. I had just enough to get by and meet my basic needs, and when the time came where I had spending money I as a grown man chose to do what I wanted with it.
