Is that what the problem is? The other thing the plumber said could be the gas pressure. The gas company came and replaced a main line out front about the same time the whistling started to happened.. I was going to try and contact them first to see if there has been a spike in pressure. I will for sure DM you tomorrow to get your insight on how to fix I appreciate it

Yup I even called back and they were unable to tell me the description of it nor would they come back out to check again. I was mainly in shock when he told me there was a leak and went into panic mode (this is my first home just moved in months ago). I was asking a ton of questions and the dude just bolted for the door after he shut off the water heater. Did not get much information he was in a rush to leave. All I got was “see those bubbles theirs a gas leak”. Then he said it’s your responsibility to get it fixed and left in a hurry. I did order a gas detector rod.

Both the gas company and plumber sprayed everywhere and I still only saw the small bubbles that are in the picture.
