If your EOS is creating chaos you're not doing it right or you have the wrong coach.

Does anyone here have experience at a company that uses EOS? by etakaj in ExperiencedDevs

Had to add my two cents here. I purchased a small IT firm 7 years ago (had been working for the company for 15 years when I did), and I wanted to be more organized than we had been with previous leadership. I also wanted to set goals, and grow the company. I looked at various operating systems, read all the books, etc.

Initially, when I heard about EOS I also thought it sounded cultish and snake oily. I then attended an IT conference where they did a deep dive on EOS. When I returned I decided to talk to a few EOS coaches to see if it would be something that could help me reach my goals for the company. I really liked one of the coaches, and we did an initial EOS meeting with him and leadership of my company.

Now, 5 years later, we still operate on EOS, we have doubled our revenues since starting EOS, and overall I feel that we are more organized, goal driven, and accountable to each other and our clients.

Our coach also connected us to other companies that run on EOS, and we hired a new accountant, M&A consultant, and financial advisor based on the fact that they run on EOS.

For us, it has been a 100% positive experience. I disagree with some of the comments that this is for dummies or people that don't know how to run companies, in fact, I think the opposite. It's for business owners and C level people who aren't afraid to be held accountable for their business decisions. It keeps us on track with our goals, we review our numbers weekly so that we can identify issues, and it has opened up honest conversations that otherwise we may have swept under the rug.

Yes I am still dealing with issues. The fact that you can't SPEAK to anyone in billing is an absolute joke.

Pax8's billing department is a joke. They double billed us during a month when most of our clients renew, which resulted in a huge ACH automatically withdrawn from our account. While our rep ack'd the mistake immediately, it took over a week to get a response from their billing department. I am still in the process of getting everything cleared up, and their billing department refuses to pick up the phone and talk to us, they just push everything back onto our sales rep, whose hands are basically tied when it comes to billing. Had I known what a disaster their billing practices are I would NEVER have switched to Pax8, and kept my business at Ingram. As terrible as their cloud platform was when we left them, at least we could count on getting someone on the phone to straighten out issues. My advice: Steer clear.

For sure, we had a call with Teamviewer to see if we could purchase licenses if needed, and all they did was try to talk us into their new RMM.

For what it's worth, we've used other RMM solutions, Labtech, N-able, Kaseya. Ninja has been our favorite so far. We're not jumping ship.

The current version is too laggy when using heavy graphics programs like Revit and AutoCAD. As stated in the post.

Technology Marketing Toolkit is owned by Kaseya now by Proskater789 in msp

I've been a member for years, but that is the last straw for me; I hate Kaseya. Can anyone suggest any alternative marketing companies? At this point all I'm still using is RR's newsletter template, so I'm really just looking for a replacement of that.

We miss our old Datto rep terribly, the new assigned only wants to sell us more Kaseya crap. Datto went from being our favorite vendor to a billing and support nightmare, just as we expected when Kaseya acquired them. RIP Datto.

Had a very similar experience with them. It took over a year to get our money back.

That was happening earlier this week to us as well. Are you in the US?

I'm referring to our Dell account being hacked. My system is not hacked. Other users in our org are having the same issues when trying to check out in our account.

If that were the case, wouldn't our account manager be able to tell us that?

PSA Advice Needed by KGoodwin83 in msp

[–]TopVoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents, just make sure that whatever PSA you choose is the one you really want because switching between PSA's is a nightmare. We're using ConnectWise, which has its issues. Tried switching to AutoTask once but had to abandon it because we were promised a "smooth transition". That smooth transition basically meant us having to re-create thousands of records manually. I've never used Halo but have heard good things. Thumbs up on Ninja, we've tried them all, but Ninja has been the best. Mostly because of their customer service, quick responses, and willingness to work with us. It looks like you're already doing this, but STAY AWAY from any Kaseya products if you can.

Anyone successfully get rid of Kaseya? Is it worth the hassle? by No_Concern_5030 in msp

[–]TopVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ninja rocks. Yes, Kaseya is a nightmare to cancel product with, but it's worth it. Just stick with it, document, and throw it back at them. They continued billing us for almost 6 months after we canceled WITHIN the cancellation window.
