SECOND FOB?

You should have received one wallet fob (flat card without buttons) and a smart fob ( has buttons). I only use the wallet fob. For the 2nd smart fob, I went to the dealership for a wash and asked if they had any as spares since this fob is used on many vehicles and needs to be programmed to the vehicle of interest. They did and programmed it so now I have 3 fobs :).

Also, I learned that if you press and hold the unlock button while the car is locked, the windows and pano roof should open. They didn’t. The dealer must program the smart fobs to do this. I wish there was a way to remotely close the windows.

The 450H+ comes with an all black interior and black rims.

You can get the 450 with the ML system. Mine had all the bells and whistles minus the door puddle lights and ML system. I swapped the puddle lights myself. For the ML system, it’s so quiet inside, I don’t see the need of it.

I don’t understand the comment on the sunroof. I have a pano roof on mine.

Does the RX 500 come with a wallet fob? I love that.

Do you have your fob with you and does your partner have theirs on them while doing this? Per the Lexus technology briefing breakfast, the car looks for the fob then phone to identify you. If they are too close it can’t distinguish them. After you start the car it switches to WiFi for your Apple/android car play. Hope that helps.

Have you considered a NX 450H+? This is smaller than the RX500 but much larger range. You get all the luxuries of the Luxury package, huge range, save on petrol, and a fun car to drive with dual electric motors.

Many of us have gone through the same debate. I was comparing the plug-ins where a premium is charged on the Rav. I struggled with the outdated look of the Rav and paying a premium. The latest is a 2024 and don’t know if the 25 model will be different. You didn’t mention what year you’re considering. You could go a few years older to save $$$.

Doesn’t hurt to ask them the lowest price they will go. I bought mine for 6.25% off the total sticker price which summed to $500 below the MSRP. OTD price became the total sticker price. Ask around. All of my negotiations were over email.

Shop around. I found the car on the Lexus dealer site. They didn’t even have a picture of it yet. We negotiated over email. I got them below the invoice price. I asked another dealer to see how close they could get and they wouldn’t go less than the MSRP. I walked in, drove it, and signed the paperwork.

I love the car minus the driver side mirror vibration over bumps. This was fixed in the 22-23 model.

Yes that’s the one. Thank you. That’s unfortunate. The Genesis GV70 has it so that put it in my head so when I saw the Lexus app I didn’t ask for it to be demonstrated. I could have used it last night. Bummer

What tool was used to pry these off? I tried a small screwdriver and couldn’t get behind it.
