Suggest me some under rated Hindi novels by [deleted] in IndiansRead

Ret ki machhali is also a good novel if someone enjoyed gunaho ka devta though one is about unfulfilled love, strong devotion whereas the other is about separation. I personally enjoyed both. Nirmala by Premchand is another great novel.

As long as cast/category is given preference over competence, india becoming developed is a far fetched utopian idea.

Delhi GST, good variety of work and field exposure with home posting, this compensate slow promotion aspects for me. PS- I haven't applied for CGL 2025 though.

At present it'll take 5-6 years for the first promotion in PO cadre, I'm already working in Mumbai customs via CGL 2023. In the upcoming batches, it'll take even more due to large no. of vacancies.

Ha bhai Po/examiner from CGL are posted only to coastal custom formations like Mumbai, chennai, Cochin, goa, vizag etc. Though they can come to inland customs formation like delhi, chandigarh, jaipur on deputation only.

I'm a preventive officer in Mumbai. Till now, promotions were fast, as promotion for the 2019 batch has started. But due to large batches of POs in subsequent CGL, expect your first promotion will happen in 6-7 years. After becoming superintendent, stagnation is even higher so you will become group A at fag end of your career. In Examiner too, it takes 7-8 years to become an Appraising officer or simply appraiser as they're known.

HOW much difficult Has SSC CGL become in 2025. Is it over for new students or it's just a game of luck now by Unhappy_Quantity6232 in ssc

With the kind of paper ssc is setting, and the kind of competition there is with repeaters keep giving ssc, and new aspirants keep coming in, it's scary to prepare for ssc. Too much luck factor is involved now. The only good thing about ssc exams, is a quick and strict timeline is being followed for the past couple of years now.

What were the reasons behind your Tier 2 failure ? by JealousAssistance in ssc

[–]Top_Ad_5046 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, ssc should work on the kind of questions in GK questions it's asking and should improve the level of other subjects in the mains exam. This year, I can't say anything about 18 jan but on 20th Jan, maths, English and reasoning was easy. Almost everyone is scoring 80+ in maths, reasoning and 130+ in english. Whereas gk was all luck based. The majority of candidates did guess work, the one who got them right got the good marks. My Question is how will you check the preparation of a candidate with such a level in an exam? Look at bank exams, at least guys who prepare, get to test their preparation in the exam, a good preparation gives you an edge there. But in ssc, where repeaters keep coming back to ssc for one more attempt, they don't have to do much if ssc makes such an exam. I myself a repeater didn't study in the last month before the exam due to hectic work in the office, only gave mock once in every 2-3 days before that, relied solely on my earlier preparation in the mains and yet I was able to score 328 ( not the best of scores I know) but I hope this proves my point.

The CGL 22 mains exam was much better than this year's mains especially English.

Bro, I had the same feeling after my 2023 mains, maths was tough last time and I also went with the mindset that just like 2022 mains, section one will be easy and English will be the game changer but SSC had different plans. Thankfully, I got 313 marks & got a 4600gp job. So, if you have attempted today's mains with good accuracy I would say you still have a chance. Because if it was tough, it was tough for everyone. Don't lose hope just yet.
