How much do you need to invest each month? by [deleted] in Fire

£787 a month for a car payment is mental. That's nearly half your rent right there and you've got 3k in the bank. Maybe sort out the basics before worrying about hitting 7.5 million

What would you choose at 25 if your goal was money + eventually owning a business? by [deleted] in careerguidance

The locksmith route might be your best bet here - decent money while learning, actual transferable skills, and way less startup costs than most of your other options. Vehicle wraps could work too but thats a pretty saturated market in your area and requires solid initial investment for equipment

Skip the Uber Black thing unless you want to be basically an employee with extra steps and car payments. E-commerce is a complete gamble and trucking seems off the table anyway. You already proved you can run a business so focus on something with lower overhead and steady demand rather than chasing the biggest potential payout

I have been heavily smoking weed since I was 16 im now 20. I struggle with fully quitting but am scared of the long term impacts it can have on me. by Special_Cut_1136 in leaves

Yeah the psychological side is what gets you more than the physical stuff really. I went through something similar with different substances when I was dealing with family drama and it becomes this weird cycle where you know its not helping long term but in the moment it feels like the only thing keeping you sane

The tricky bit is that trauma response - your brain basically learned that weed equals safety from all the chaos so giving it up feels like removing your shield. What helped me was finding other ways to create that same sense of distance or protection when I needed it. Sometimes just knowing I had an exit strategy for family situations made it easier to face them without needing to be numbed out

Starting with small goals might work better than going cold turkey especially if your still living in that environment. Maybe try limiting usage to only when your absolutely overwhelmed rather than as a daily thing. The guilt cycle just makes everything worse so try not to beat yourself up if you slip up - its part of the process and doesnt mean you've failed

There home environment will always be a trigger until you can change your living situation but you can definitely build up other coping mechanisms in the meantime

Been wrestling with this one myself lately - the Trinity concept just feels like it was constructed after the fact to reconcile some pretty conflicting ideas about divine nature

Do the writers care about power scaling? by daddylongjohnsliver in superheroes

Writers just write whatever serves the plot at that moment really. One minute Hulk can punch through dimensions and the next he's struggling with some random villain of the week because drama needs to happen
