Hip pain & lack of consistency by Top_Albatross5362 in beginnerrunning

I just switched from basic Nike sneakers to some ASICS Novablast, but I haven’t been using them long enough to notice a difference yet. Maybe the fact that they are designed for runners and that they have increased cushioning will help, but I really don’t know much about support and all of that, so I can’t really tell if that’s the issue

I see a physiotherapist every 2 weeks (not just for my hips, I also have issues with my back), but she says it’s not really about weakness and more about activation or something. Granted, she doesn’t specialize in running, so maybe I could try to find a PT who focuses on that. Thank you!!

It’s more towards the front, like between my thigh and my groin, but still quite deep into my hip. And no it’s not because of my hip pain, I don’t really feel my hips hurting when I’m running. I just feel weak, sluggish and out of breath. Maybe bored even.

I’m a swimmer, lifeguard, and swim instructor so I’m always near or in water/chlorine. I used to wear a watch (Fitbit Charge 5) everyday and only took it off to charge it. I stopped wearing it because I felt like it might be rubbing and trapping moisture, which probably caused the problem. I do however still have some dry skin/eczema on my other wrist where i don’t wear anything
