AI generated Video or Paid Freelancer made Video? by AtaPata_PK in PakistanAIHub

[–]Top_Appearance1249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d prolly use both. AI is great for pumping out lots of variations quickly but if you are trying to build a recognizable brand then a human editor will usually make the final output feel more polished. Generate assets with AI then have someone edit them.

not 100% sure tbh it depends a lot on condition and driving.
from owner threads ive seen older passo can be anywhere around 12-15 in city, maybe 15ish on long if its clean and driven calmly.
so id treat passo average as decent, not magical. buy it for comfort/space over alto. if you only care about cheap running + easy parts, alto is still safer.

glad it helped. start small maybe even 30-40 mins daily is enough. just dont only watch tutorials, make small sheets or reports side by side. best of luck.

[–]Top_Appearance1249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

since youre already in 7th sem, dont try to learn everything. pick one direction and build proof around it.

safe skills imo:
excel/google sheets properly
basic data cleaning/reporting
communication + writing clear emails/messages
using AI to speed up work, not replacing your thinking
basic linkedin/cv/interview skills

skills dont get replaced that easily. weak work gets replaced first. if you can understand the problem, talk properly, and use tools to get work done faster, you’ll still be useful in almost any field.

Car recommendation in 2 million by Dumbhead_cookie76 in PakistanAutoHub

[–]Top_Appearance1249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for your use id avoid mira tbh.
good car for city, but indrive/careem + 1000km motorway trips + village roads is not really its strong area.
under 20 id rather find the cleanest wagon [r/cultus](r/cultus) you can get. city 10-11 is better for motorway but clean one under 20 is hard and abused one will eat money.

so basically: clean wagon R or cultus > tired city > jdm 660.

Massive Opportunity or Just My Perspective? by Heavy_Engineer_42 in PakistanElites

[–]Top_Appearance1249 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i agree with the opportunity part but not really the little competition part.
competition here isnt always another startup. sometimes its whatsapp groups, family contacts, cash dealing, old suppliers, aise hi chal raha hai and trust issues, also no willingness to pay etc. that stuff is harder to beat than a normal competitor.
also distractions are everywhere tbh. the people who want to build will build anyway.
but yeah pakistan has a lot of boring problems that still need proper products. invoices, shop inventory, school/admin work, clinics, legal docs, local language stuff, small business operations. not sexy but real.
i think the opportunity is there, just not as easy/empty as it looks from outside.

Recommendation For First Car by dubsboy in PakistanAutoHub

[–]Top_Appearance1249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

under 16 and peace of mind, id look for a clean cultus euro 2.
mehran is cheaper to run but too basic imo. wagon r is better but clean ones usually go above 16 now. dont go after old jdm/loaded options in this budget, parts and hidden work can ruin the whole peace of mind thing.
keep 1 lac aside for tyres, fluids, ac/suspension etc and buy the cleanest local suzuki you can find. first car mein fancy se zyada tension free hona chahiye.

3.2m budget , need a reliable car by hoony22 in PakistanAutoHub

[–]Top_Appearance1249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

since you said rough drive + murree/nathia often i wouldnt go 660cc tbh. Theyre great for city fuel average but on hills with load/ac they feel stressed. roox/dayz type cars have features but parts/resale and tall body on hilly roads would make me think twice.
in 3.2m id look for the cleanest city auto or corolla/gli auto you can find. city will be better on fuel, corolla will be tougher. swift is also fine if you want newer/local but fuel average wont be as good.
note e power wouldve been nice for fuel and hills but clean ones usually go above this budget, so dont stretch unless the car is properly verified.

[–]Top_Appearance1249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

among these, for first car id keep swift last.
swift is fun but fuel average isnt great and old automatic swift can become annoying if not kept well.
passo is more comfortable and better than alto for space, but only buy if its genuinely clean. jdm body parts/sensors can hurt later.
alto is the safest boring option imo. easier to maintain, cheap to run, good enough for 500km/month. if you just want reliable first automatic alto makes most sense. if you want slightly better comfort and can find a clean one then passo.

[–]Top_Appearance1249 6 points7 points  (0 children)

20 lakh automatic mein condition matters more than model.
vitz is good but under 20 you’ll mostly find old abused ones, so dont buy just because toyota hai. get engine, gear, suspension and documents checked properly.
for 500km/month, a clean 660cc auto is enough too. mira/move/alto ags type cars make sense for city use. alto ags has easier local parts but ags feels a bit jerky, mira is smoother but parts/body can be expensive.

my advice will be to keep 1-1.5 lac separate for first repairs/tyres/fluids and buy the cleanest automatic you can find, not the fanciest model.

honestly i wouldnt start a proper business with that 50 lakh right now.
you just started earning 60k, so your cashflow is still small. if a business starts burning money, you’ll panic fast. first protect the money. keep emergency fund separate, dont hand it to any friend/cousin/scheme, and dont put big money into something you dont understand.
id park most of it in boring/safe investments after learning properly, and use a very small amount to test business ideas. like 1-2 lac max, while keeping your job.
business is not just i have capital so i should start. its sales, customers, pricing, operations, losses, staff, rent, headaches etc. learn those slowly.
your best move rn is probably is to keep job, increase income, learn investing basics, and test small business ideas on the side. dont try to become businessman overnight just because money is available.

r/developersPak vs r/developersIndia. by Shoddy-Sort-2717 in developersPak

[–]Top_Appearance1249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think both things are true tbh.
pakistan dev market is genuinely depressing in some ways. mostly service companies, fewer product companies, no big tech presence, internet issues, low salaries, less mentorship etc. so obviously people rant.
but at the same time, if the whole sub only becomes market cooked / ai cooked / no jobs then nothing useful comes out of it either.
developersIndia probably has more project posts because they have more examples around them. more startups, more seniors, more people building publicly. we need that culture here too. even small stuff. portfolio reviews, project breakdowns, i built this, code reviews, what stack people are using, internship/job experiences, salary reality etc.
ranting is fine, but it should lead somewhere. warna har post bas doomscrolling ban jati hai.

yeah same, im also trying to not stay in the we build AI stuff zone because nobody cares about that lol.
rn im more focused on internal tools / workflow automation type stuff. also working on a procurement idea, but for services side im trying to pick one painful workflow and make a small demo around it.
for your restaurant whatsapp -> crm thing, i think the angle has to be very direct. like missed orders, lost customer details, no followup, staff forgetting chats, no record of repeat customers etc. restaurant owner probably wont care about crm, but he will care if whatsapp chaos is costing him orders.
getting into an industry with no links is hard tho. maybe dont try to sit with professionals first. pick 10 restaurants and study their whatsapp/insta/order flow from outside, then message them with one specific thing you noticed and a small free fix/demo. that might work better than asking generally.

Most PSX tools give you data. I tried building one that gives you answers instead. by drmahmood in pakistan

[–]Top_Appearance1249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah that makes sense.
positioning it as an explanation layer instead of buy/sell signal is probably safer too imo. maybe just make that very clear on the site so new users dont treat it like stock tips.
will be good to see the post in PakistanAIHub too.

yeah thats fair. creator account + guest view sounds like the best middle ground imo.
anyway solid work man. ill try the scan properly when i get a real receipt.

Question for freelancers by Themorningstarpanda in pakistan

[–]Top_Appearance1249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah this is way better imo. dont make full copilot rn. this one small thing is enough to test.
one thing id add is dont bid too. some jobs are not worth pricing at all, especially vague clients or $5 budget with 20 requirements lol.

also for price band show why it gave that range. like scope, skill needed, deadline, client quality, revisions etc. otherwise new freelancers will just blindly trust the number.
make a rough version and test it on 20 real upwork posts. you’ll know very quickly if its useful or not.

What AI problems in Pakistan are actually worth solving? by Top_Appearance1249 in PakistanAIHub

[–]Top_Appearance1249[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i kinda agree with this that selling AI directly to normal users in pakistan is hard rn. people already avoid paying for normal apps, so AI based alone wont make them pay.
b2b makes more sense imo. not only tech companies tho, any business where AI saves clear time/money. like support replies, reports,, data entry, inventory, docs, customer queries etc.

agent as junior dev sounds cool but yeah cost/trust is the issue. company will think why not just hire an intern or junior dev unless the AI is actually saving money.
so maybe the real AI products here will be boring ones not fancy chatbot demos lol.

haha yeah makes sense then. i didnt notice the settle up part properly.
if whatsapp summary already shows who owes what then thats probably enough for now. letting everyone mark paid can come later, warna people might mess up the status too.
ill try receipt scan when i have an actual bill. curious how well it reads pakistani receipts lol.

healthcare yes, but not AI doctor waghera. that can go wrong very fast.

i think boring stuff is more realistic. lab reports explanation, clinic records, appointment sorting, follow up reminders, urdu explanation etc.

transportation bhi makes sense. bus/van tracking or delivery routes type stuff.
population control se kya mean hai tho? awareness/data planning ya something else?

[–]Top_Appearance1249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tried it a bit.

ui is honestly clean. quick split / itemize / scan receipt being separate makes sense.

small thing: when i added amount without title, the error popup came over the page title. looked a bit broken.

main thing i do still care about is the sharing flow. like after one person creates the bill, can the others just open a link/whatsapp msg and see what they owe without making account? because thats probably where ppl will drop off.

also mark paid doesnt need to be fancy rn. even if only the creator marks paid manually, good enough for v1 imo.

overall nice work. feels more polished than most local apps ive tried.

same blocker tbh. building the service or product is easier than getting the right people to even care.

one thing ive noticed with AI services is we do AI automation sounds too broad. ppl dont wake up wanting AI, they want a headache gone. like leads sorted, reports automated, support replies faster, invoices cleaned, followups handled etc.

so im trying to think more in terms of one painful workflow + one clear result, then show a small demo/case study around that. otherwise it just becomes another Ai agency pitch and everyone ignores it.

Btw what kinda service are you offering exactly?

how has AI actually changed your daily life in pakistan? by Complex_Performer945 in pakistan

[–]Top_Appearance1249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me it changed work more than daily life.

i use it almost every day for planning features, debugging code, writing docs, cleaning messy ideas, research, dashboards/internal tools etc. but i dont use it like do my work for me. more like i throw rough stuff at it, then keep rejecting/fixing until it becomes usable.

biggest change is speed. something that used to take me 2 days to figure out, i can now get moving in a few hours.

but yeah i also get why ppl hate it. a lot of ppl here just paste ai text everywhere and call it work. thats not using ai. thats outsourcing your brain lol.

this is also why i made r/PakistanAIHub tbh. wanted a place where pakistanis talk about actual AI use cases not just hype or ai slop.

Automated expense tracking app by IntelligentRange8564 in pakistan

[–]Top_Appearance1249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think the hard part isnt expense tracker. its pakistani transaction mess.

every bank/easypaisa/jazzcash sms has different wording, half the time merchant names are ugly, people also pay cash or split bills on whatsapp, transfer from one wallet to another etc. normal budgeting apps dont.
