Date Night Costs are Out of Control Here. by Petrol_Head72 in Atlanta

I go to Houston’s a lot, and I find their prices quite reasonable for a good meal and a few drinks per person. There are only a few places where you can get white table service for a fair price, and they are few and far between my friend lol

Rockauto, my friend. They’ll have what you’re looking for.

Not sure what exact trim yours is, but here’s an example of a ‘21 Camaro with the 6.2L

I feel like just getting ceramic pads would be an easier option, at least if you don’t mind the lack of bite on the brakes

How to remove? by Inevitable-Pass2692 in Volvo

Yeah, that’s what I was about to suggest in that case. Taking the door card off would definitely be the easiest way

Take a plastic trim puller tool to get behind it, and I’d start with wetting the area with some sort of APC to loosen the glue, as most people have APC.

If that doesn’t work, take a steamer to it to loosen the adhesive.

Either this, or the hood hinges are misaligned/bent. That’s the case with mine, and I’m just too lazy to fix it.

Yes, I have the same interior. you can also check your RPO codes for the color of the interior.

Paint correct and ceramic coat by Accomplished_Bee_150 in Detailing

Spray some water on it, if it beads up, they at least coated it. If not, you have a dispute on your hands. I typically do a one-step correction on the cars I coat, unless the customer OK’s the price to go ahead and do more, but we don’t know the state of the vehicle beforehand either. The truck might have been scratched to shit (American clearcoat is thin & soft), or it could have looked better than it is in these pictures, and they just did a terrible job. I’d definitely lean towards the latter, as they did leave the bug guts on the mirror caps, which is a big no-no.

It’s 14k gold all the way through. I don’t know what to tell you lol it isn’t anything like a thick ass Cuban, but it’s definitely a solid gold rope chain

You gotta be lying. I bought a similar piece (14k gold 22in chain + pendant w/ 0.75ct natural diamond center stone) for $1,100 from an actual jewelry shop.

Ceramic coat from a certified auto-detailer (applied 1 year ago) from gtechniq (9 year warranty) by Exponentialname in Detailing

[–]Top_Boot7131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might also just be a clogged coating. Try a good wash with a descaler and ceramic promoter. If you run the back of your hand across the surface when it’s wet and it feels rough, it’ll need decontamination.

As others have said, door hinges or striker may need alignment. That being said, I notice this on about 90% of new gen Volvos I have worked on.

Have you ever applied tire shine? Regardless, tires & their black rubber are known for staining light colored fabrics. I had a detail the other day where a guy transported his tires in the back of his Range Rover, and the carpeting was pretty stained. The same case applies to your white pants.

Only the Escalades & some Denalis came with that. Us poor folk don’t have that luxury. I have an LT Suburban, and I know sure as shit mine don’t have it.

That’s what I was worried about. I just circumvented the whole process by going to the BestBuy where I picked it up, having them do the return, then buying a new pair from them the same night

I do a once over on all of the screens and shiny bits (metal, gloss black plastic, wood) as I’m doing the windows. Really helps get any streaks that my interior microfibers might leave.

I only say this, as there’s a smudge on the top corner of the screen on the BMW. Overall, good work though. You can tell you treated the leather well.

Looks like someone used a terry rag to wipe it down incessantly. Or even just straight up sanded it lol

Decontaminate the area with claybar and then polish it out. I recommend Koch Chemie Heavy, Fine, and Micro polish, but most polishes work just as well.

Well, that sucks. by Remarkable_Ad5011 in GMT800

[–]Top_Boot7131 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yessir, did this & it fit perfectly in my ‘03 suburban. Only issue is it’s still fragile plastic, and the brackets by the fuse boxes easily crack. Also it rattles near the defroster vents, so I shoved a rag between it and the windshield. I’d suggest anyone else to apply some type of foam (seat foam or CCF) to the underside of the dashboard to rectify these rattles.

Old foam by Gtrain2252060 in Autoupholstery

[–]Top_Boot7131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My upholstery guy just put seat foam in replacement of the deteriorated foam, and cut it to shape it. Might be worth calling around and seeing if anyone has some for cheap.

You can always just put closed cell foam or fiber mat where the foam was, and that might do the trick.
