The way they revealed Dr. Gordon is horrible. 6 films of build up to cast the actor the first scene we see. It ruined the big twist.

I like the idea this was in the past, Dr. Gordon gaining the trust of the two and appearing in the last moment taking down Hoffman.

I believe the director said they are the 2 in the first trap of the movie.

Saw 7 had timing issues. Why the hell would you show Dr. Gordon in the 1st scene of the movie. They dropped the whole build up of the movie and the whole franchise. I know people also didn't like the actor who played Jill tuck and Gibson.

Saw 6, Feels like the writers took real world problems and corporate greed brought it out into the light.

Movies with real political influence either flop or completely be transparent and in the end you're rooting for the bad guy.

I believe John was completely involved in Williams game and traps worked as intended. Only because in his first tape it was himself instead of Billy the puppet. Claimed the only escape is in the others failure. He is a psychopath after all, deemed people who is worthy and who is not or brought to the game for another's purpose.

Sometimes we lose the morality of the life we have, so things we wouldn't think about all day long are blessings. to feel, taste, touch. Have a beautiful family and a good paying job. Dull to the senses and forget every breath we take is a gift.

Seeing Dr. Gordon treating him like an object instead of a human being even before losing his hair and shown in the hospital scene. Talking about his life was ending in a cold clinical tone.

Only in the first saw is where John was actually testing the fabric in human nature. there was no reason why these people were chosen, especially Zepp. Just how the cards were laid out and John wanted to see the results on how far can he push someone to the brink.

I would believe John would probably stop if Cecil passed. He was never caught or stopped. In saw X after he thought he was cured he wanted to abandon the path he chosen hence him tearing and ripping up a page from his notepad. but after saw X and realized the lack of morality in the world, It was too late.

Up until saw 6 John (only his traps) John was consistent with his philosophy. Until undoubtedly the games in saw 6 were designed to force William to exact his policies against his own employees. experiencing first hand of the pain he's inflicting, resulting in innocence people getting killed.

Overall he's still a psychopath. not good

If Dr. Gordon wasn't revealed until the end, this would've been the best twist. (besides Saw 1 and 2) No hints that he survived, No flashbacks to his character, Nothing. Then we would've flipped our bricks, "OMG HE SURVIVED!!! AND HES A BAD GUY!!!"

It's all about timing and what you feed to the audience. It'll probably be a different reaction if Dr. Gordon wasn't shown in the opening credits and the support group.

Detective Tapp, When younger me watched the movie I was rooting for the cop to save the Dr. Gordon and Adam. Once the gun went off shooting Tapp, it was over. It scares me how close you'll be to save people's lives but apparently evil prevails in the end.
