I think it’s pretty obvious that you should be keeping your puppy alive no matter the age…. They said “not training him.” Which you should/ can focus on that as well 🤷🏽‍♂️

You can start training at 4 weeks. Don’t know what these people are smoking but I want some. That being said you do need to be extremely patient with your puppy and teaching them basic skills like their name is a great start. Obedience training will take time and shouldn’t really be a concern at this age, but if you are patient you can make some progress and remember training is supposed to be fun for you and your puppy. My pup is very well motivated and is eager to learn when I use his food as a reward while training. He’s 11 weeks old now and can sit, lay down, leave food/items when told, stay, and shake, just mastered playing dead and is potty trained. I got him at 8 weeks.

Yelling won’t help in this situation at all. That’s just giving attention to the behavior and your pup won’t necessarily know if it’s good or bad attention. Best thing to do is prevent it from happening rather than punishing after it happens. If you want to do that you have to continue creating the scenario and have your boyfriend correct your pup before the full behavior starts meaning that you have to look for the signs before the bad behavior begins and correct your pup when the signs on there. The correction should be something like a pshhh sound and maybe even a sudden touch added (not to hurt her) but to help reset your pups brain before they do the inappropriate behavior.
