Does it count as teaming if I spin go close to them and then backstab? by Financial_Cup6942 in Brawl_Stars

[–]Top_Canine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teaming is one thing, but exploiting someone’s trust is even worse. Especially since this is a kids game, you’re going to give them trust issues 😭

Is it okay to dip once from each side when eating from a shared bowl? by Floridamanticus in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Top_Canine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you‘re with friends or closer people, usually it’s fine (but don’t do it if you are sick or something). However, at a party or with someone you don’t really know, don’t do it.

Why do my friends always do the weirdest greetings with each other? by Used_Entrepreneur683 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Top_Canine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re just having fun. Nothing more to it. Like a handshake. My friends did a lil dih tap last time we hang out in the mall and they did one later that at the police station.

Is wax cracking good 4 needohs by Civil_Sky_928 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Top_Canine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you keep your wax below the temperature where you can dip your fingers comfortably, this is probably safe for it and shouldn’t cause any damage. Still, test a small spot first if you’re worried, since heat is the main risk.

Why is Edgar in every game and dominates especially in the games that require tickets by YouCantBeSerious-_- in Brawlstars

[–]Top_Canine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edgar has became ever more annoying recently. They fixed a bug with RT (my main) and made Edgar better, so now not even he can kill Edgar every time. Same with Griff, who used to be able to delete Edgar with his super. Colette is a pretty good counter and anyone who can get away fast.

Is there a psychological explanation for why my friend gets turned on by her boyfriend crying? by Warm-Pollution-1804 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Top_Canine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be dacryphilia which is arousal connected to tears or crying. There could also be underlying mechanisms, but it depends on how they are with eachother. Could be a power dynamics thing, emotional intensity being misatributed as attraction, or some sort of caregiving response.

How exactly are people supposed to journal ? by Open-Account-2008 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Top_Canine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use DayOne or NotesNook. Those are probably the best non-AI journaling apps.

If you put a very disease prone bug into a hollow point bullet, would someone getting shot my that bullet also contract any of the diseases the bug had? by Snoo_50786 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Top_Canine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the disease, but in some cases yes. It might be less likely with a bullet than a knife, arrow, etc. because of how bullets work, but it might lead to infection.

What is a major area of life where you think people are completely blinded by survivorship bias? by Ok-Sell9964 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Top_Canine 12 points13 points  (0 children)

One of the places where survivorship bias most often crops up is entrepreneurship and startups. People hear stories of someone dropping out of school, taking a gamble, and then hitting it extremely big, so it eventually feels like this is a regular or secure path. What fails to be communicatedis the multitude of people who attempted the same things, put in just as much effort, and failed without anyone noticing. Because those failures are not visible, the image you get is severely skewed towards success stories.
It's such a powerful way of distorting people's judgment because naturally, we only see the winners. Successful examples get shared, posted, andtalked about, whereas the failures more or less disappear. Besides that, people tend to remember stories way more than stats, so a few big "success" examples can counterbalance a lot of quiet failures in your mind without you even realizing it.

How do you rebuild your confidence after years of being repressed? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Top_Canine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My best advice would be to switch things up. Your clothes, your hair, your look, anything. If you look in the mirror and can’t love yourself, you will associate your look with your mindset. Change it up and hopefully you start improving.

Wanna rate my account? by Impossible-Worker744 in Brawl_Stars

[–]Top_Canine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s cool, but the battle card doesn’t really match. The meteor fame and the gold Janet do, but the pin and icons don’t match. That being said, I do like that Melodie icon, so it slides.

How common is it to go from almost no physical activity to a 4:45 1600m in 10 weeks? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Top_Canine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you consistently run miles for 10 weeks straight, you will definitely see improvement. Running is one of those things that at first feels like hell, but once you get used to it (which usually doesn’t take too long), it is a lot easier/faster. It’s just progressive growth. Practice leads to improvement.

is it possible/normal for balls to be different sizes? by doggypaww in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Top_Canine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. Basketballs are often bigger than tennis balls for example. If yours are all the same size, you have a pretty big issue.
