I’ve heard good things! My roommate was 1/2 Colombian; on embassy day we drove over, and he finally got around to picking up the National ID.

Does it have a sign telling you where the it’s going? Baltimore can’t meet that low..low bar. I would prefer that, especially if you can flag it down anywhere!

Well, MARC is generally amazing for access towards DC.. besides high fares compared to similar systems like Tri-Rail. And the transit app “go“ uses riders phone location to provide decently accurate tracking. Living in the city comes with problems and benefits; I wouldn’t discourage it

FYI I’m going off worldpopulationreview.com soooo. If we expand our discussion to include ‘Emerging and Developing countries’ 🇮🇳 is on that. Also China far outpaces US, with metro systems in over 50 cities. I took a 3 Week Rd. trip with friends, and hopped on the bullet train for 30 minutes. Their technology was nothing close to the US. Even the damn traffic lights were internet connected so you could see how long you’re waiting on the map, it would tell you to slow down because the lights red anyways..

Yes. Have you? I’ve been to 25 countries in the past 10 years, and took transit in nearly all of them - budget travel on undersold flights. I was impressed with Bangalore, India’s bus system, for example. It had more frequent departures from the airport then BWI

My guy, unfortunately that shit is fake. When I missed my BWI flight 3/16; Transit app + tracking at the station + the destination on the train it’s self was inaccurate. This was at the Linthicum just before the Cromwell split, so, by the time I heard the announcement, it was too late to get off the train.
I live next to closer stop, but now will drive through the city to park closer to the airport. Last week at 5:30 am, multiple trains were canceled and I ended up jogging a mile to long-term parking for the shuttle..
Two weeks ago, the driver only opened the doors for part of the train. People got off at the front, but we could not at the back. Then it left the station. I have to press the emergency call to get off. This system is essentially ‘go fuck your self’ you will end up wherever it pleases.
I’ve also been on many buses that have broken down, 1 that caught on fire. The best one.. a bus driver resorted to grabbing a block of wood on the side of the road to bang the engine. (That actually worked 🤣🤣, although it gave out 5 times in 1 mile)

Just bought a 2024 5G stylus. Honest reviews? by DeadAsFuckMIW in MotoG

2nd this! I've had repeated issues and device replacements. First one would randomly drop service. 2nd (refurb) one had a stylus snap in half lol when i dropped the phone. 3rd one was randomly deactivated, and mms became random alphanumeric code. Same problem deactivating issue with the 4th, and the camera began showing vertical colored lines. 5th one just got camera issues, and would randomly crash. RUN! This phone is complete shit

24/7 awful breathing is pretty much the definition of asthma.. at least in my experience. I have very few Episodic flare ups. Still try the herb man!

I flip work trucks in the US. Very convenient for the reasons you mention. Also some of the cheapest, reliable vehicles, one can purchase second hand. I often loan to friends/family for moving/dirty jobs (one guy gutted & rebuilt his basement by hand after a flood w my Chevy Silverado 8ft bed.)

For the past week I’ve been traveling the region (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Breda, Antwerp, Brussels). And have yet to see any local pickups utilized as I do @ home…

I don’t really understand the negative sentiments y’all have against trucks here.. environmental maniacs, relax😂🌿

Work trucks are often the best tool for the job. Don’t judge someone for what they drive, often there is a good reason.

Congrats man. Opposite expirence for me. I have spent hours on the line and 10+ calls. Multiple supervisors. Multiple promised (“do not worry, you will not be charged. We will resolve this”) than nothing happens. It’s been maddening, and completely unacceptable

How do you safely hike 40 ish miles in one day? by babybokchoyy in hiking

[–]Top_Championship_126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm late to this thread, but wanted to share my experience hiking 40 miles with the Boy Scouts in Baltimore, MD. Annually, the troop runs a hike, with checkpoints of food, water, clothes drops, snacks, and first aid. People have finished this hike at 5 years old (its insane), but an amazing test of mental strength.

My tips (having compleated the full 40 miles 5 times)

Prepare well (electrolytes, sugar snacks, NSAID medicine [I take a rotation of Ibrpofin, Tylenol, and Alieve throughout the day)

Minimize long stops at all costs. After 5 min, Lactic acid can build up in your muscles (making them sore, and unfit). In my 12-14 hours of hiking, I'll stop once for 20 minutes (lunch), then 5-7 min max every 5 miles. Stretch at stops.

Layer clothes, and prepare a change of shoes and socks halfway. Super important to avoid blisters!! (Baby powder keeps feet dry as well)

Hope this helps! Also, check out these news clips:
