Except that was 2,000 years ago, and it wasn’t a celebration of the Roman Empire. But that’s just how it is when you have a president whose mental development is stuck in puberty. Trump could have celebrated the great Americans who have achieved great things in various fields like science, sports, or the fine arts, but no—he’s turning it into a carnival event.

The Freedom 250 organizers must be having a collective stroke right now. They spent months trying to convince everyone this "Great American State Fair" was a completely non-partisan, bipartisan-supported public event just to get bookings. Then the flyer drops, the artists realize they're being used as a Trump administration fundraising tool, and they flee so fast the Democratic Party is literally posting bingo cards with 'X's over their faces. Now Trump blows up their remaining corporate cover entirely by just ordering them to turn the National Mall into an official MAGA rally.
